Opening Quote, Scripture, and Prayer
|
This Week's Opening Quote:
"Saving faith is an immediate relation to Christ, accepting, receiving, resting upon Him alone, for justification, sanctification, and eternal life by virtue of God's grace." (Charles Spurgeon, 1834-1892, British preacher and evangelist)
This Week's Scripture:
"Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God according to the promise of the life that is in Christ Jesus. . . ." (2 Timothy 1:1)
This Week's Opening Prayer:
"Father God, as Paul did in his first letter to Timothy, I boldly declare myself to be a follower of Jesus Christ. And, Lord, I declare Jesus not in name only. I know it is Your will which saved me from an eternal existence separated from You. I praise You for everlasting life that is in Christ Jesus! Help me to be more and more submitted to You every day. Help Jesus to become greater and me to become less every moment of every day. Amen."
