"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." (James 1:2-4)

Opening Quote, Scripture, and Prayer
|
This Week's Opening Quote: "Maybe Christmas, the Grinch thought, doesn't come from a store." (Dr. Seuss, 1904-1991, American children's author,)
This Week's Scripture:
6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this." (Isaiah 9:6-7, English Standard Version)
This Week's Prayers: "What a story. Who could have imagined? God entered the world of humanity is the form of a baby. A virgin birth. An earthly adoptive father could have stoned the mother. Angels set the course for father, mother, and child. The child escaped death at the hand of Herod. He grew in stature and favor among men. The child lived a sinless childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Like a sheep led to slaughter, he bore the wrath of God on the cross for the sin OF ALL TIME. Only He could have done so. He willingly laid down His life. He conquered death! He rose to life! His resurrection guarantees the same resurrection power to all who believe in and follow Him as Lord and Savior of their lives! We are, thusly, co-heirs with Christ! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Amen!"
