Employee Spotlight: Service Technicians

 

CLingsweiller Chad Lingsweiller has been a valued employee of E. D. Farrell Co., Inc. for 13 years.  While providing excellent customer service that often leads our customers to request Chad by name for service, Chad has spent his time at E. D. Farrell Co., Inc. accumulating knowledge and experience.  He's one of our Crown industrial Battery Certified Technicians, which enables him to provide battery cell replacement, cable replacement and perform a variety of tests.  Chad has achieved Master Status in Yale's Technician Training status and is only two more training modules away from Elite Status.

E.Fisher Ed Fisher has been a dedicated employee of E. D. Farrell Co., Inc. for 19 years, and was the 1st member of our service staff at our Jamestown branch.
His years of forklift repair experience and training make Ed a valuable part of our service team.  He is a Pro-Tech Elite Technician.
 
 

T.Montuori

Tony Montuori joined our team in July of 2012 in hopes of expanding his already vast technical knowledge. He brings to the Erie branch a can-do attitude along with an excellent work ethic and sense of pride in his work. Repaired is not the same as Remanufactured Parts
 
We all buy many parts new for our repair needs. Sometimes for cost reasons we may consider Used Parts, Repaired Parts or Remanufactured Parts. The benefits and risk of shorter service life of a part purchased new verse used are obvious, but do not mistake repaired parts to be the equivalent of remanufactured parts. You will pay a little more for remanufactured parts, but it is well worth it.

Is LPG escaping while changing the forklift cylinders?

The Solution...

Changing an LPG cylinder can sometimes give a forklift operator a big surprise!
The seal in the cylinder valve can fail causing liquid propane gas to spray over the hand or face faster than they can react.
Liquid propane vaporizes quickly ( -42'C or -44'F ) and will cause extreme frostbite if it touches the skin.

Almost every forklift operator has had a negative experience and they do not like getting hit with LP Gas!

NOW, you can place a shut-off valve on the hose to prevent the LPG coming back onto the operator

VALVE CLOSED:
shuts off the LP Gas next to the coupler to prevent it from coming back through the hose if the seal fails.
Since most LPG cylinders are rented the operator does not know the condition of the seals or age of the cylinder without a rigorous inspection.
