Product Feature: New Yale Man down turret truck
Need a truck for Very Narrow Aisles?
The ERC045-070VG truck's turret attachment lets you work and turn your inventory like never before. Most very narrow aisle trucks in the industry limit you to working one side of an aisle way by forks that turn in only one direction. Not anymore. Thanks to Yale's ingenious engineering, you can work both sides of a 60-inch* wide aisle all the way to a dead end, rotating the turret attachment from left to right. You can rotate and traverse the ERC045-070VG attachment simultaneously, allowing you to easily keep it centered within an aisle.

Parts Feature:
Manual Pallet Trucks
A new manual pallet truck can help move palletized loads safety
A manual pallet jack, also known as a pallet truck, pump truck, or jigger is a tool used to lift and move pallets. The front wheels are mounted inside the end of the forks, and as the hydraulic jack is raised, the forks are separated vertically from the front wheels, forcing the load upward until it clears the floor. The pallet is only lifted enough to clear the floor for subsequent travel.
 | | How to Operate a Manual Pallet Jack? |
Operational limitations
1. Reversible pallets cannot be used.
2. Double-faced non-reversible pallets cannot have deck-boards where the front wheels extend to the floor.
3. Enables only two-way entry into a four-way notched-stringer pallet, because the forks cannot be inserted into the notches.
Typical Dimensions
1. The North American industry seems to have 'standardized' pallet jacks in several ways:
2. Width of each of two Forks: 7"
3. Fork Width, i.e. The dimension between the outer edges of the forks: Available as 20¼" and 27"
4. Fork Length: Available as 36", 42", 48"* Lowered Height: 2.9"
5. Raised Height: At least 7.5", but some will raise higher
1. MLX55 $411.36 each
2. ECHO 20.5X48 $380.14.75 each
3. ECHO 27X48 $339.22 each

Service Feature: Exhaust CO Analyzer
How is you air quality now that your building is closed up for winter?
We can analyze your forklifts exhaust so you can ensure your work areas are safe. Here are some Frequently Asked Questions regarding Industrial Lift Trucks and exhaust gas testing.
i. My trucks are running well. Why do I need a CO analyzer?
A. If running well means smoothly and with power, your trucks may still be wasting fuel because their carburetors are set too rich. A fleet of ten trucks running on three shifts can easily waste $15,000 to $48,000 of propane per year. By setting CO at 0.5% at idle and full load, the engine still runs smoothly and with power while saving major fuel dollars.
ii. What does OSHA use for industrial lift truck emissions testing?
A. The states of Connecticut, Michigan, Minnesota and Washington all use the Blanke Industries CO Series 2500. OSHA's Cincinnati Technical Center also has CO Series 2500 analyzers available on loan to the Federal OSHA offices nationwide. OSHA uses two types of CO analyzers:
a. those that measure CO in parts per million in air and
b. those that measure raw exhaust in percent.

OSHA says firm failed to remove unsafe forklifts
The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) alleges five safety violations at Plastic Systems LLC in Kenton after a forklift tine hit and injured a worker last year. OSHA conducted an inspection on 5 September at the 80,000 sqft. (7,432 sqm) Kenton plant and has proposed penalties of USD89,500 including USD70,000 for failure to remove unsafe forklifts from service. OSHA says "a willful violation is one committed with intentional knowing or voluntary disregard for the law's requirements or with plain indifference to worker safety and health". Serious violations involved failures to complete forklift inspections and retrain workers in forklift operations following occurrence of an incident. Another violation related to failure to have name and capacity plates on forklifts. Romeo, Michigan-based custom injection molder Plastic Systems has until 5 February to enter into an agreement with OSHA during an informal conference in OSHA's Toledo, Ohio office or file a notice of intent to contest the penalties.

Rental Feature: Scissor Lifts
Get a scissor lift rental to help with your winter inside project.
Scissor lifts can Help get work done when you need a lift.
i. Industrial lifts have traditionally been in use in manufacturing and production settings to raise and lower people, work pieces and materials. The scissor lift, sometimes known as a table lift, is an industrial lift that has been modified for retail and wholesale settings. Customers perusing the aisles of a large retail store in the late evening hours have no doubt seen one, if not realized what it was. In basic terms, the scissor lift is platform with wheels that acts like a forklift. In a non-industrial setting, the scissor lift is useful for completing tasks which require the speed, mobility and transporting of people and material above ground level.
ii. The scissor lift is unique in that it doesn't use a straight support to raise workers into the air. Rather, the scissor lift platform raises when the linked, folding supports underneath it draw together, stretching it upward. When extended, the scissor lift reaches anywhere from 21 to 62 feet (6.4 to 18.8 meters) above ground, depending on its size and purpose. It can be powered by hydraulics or an electric motor, but it's a bumpy ride to the top. The scissor lift's design keeps it from traveling with a constant velocity, instead traveling faster in the middle of its journey and slower with more extension.
