E. D. Farrell Company was formed in 1934 and began supplying manufacturers in the Buffalo, New York area with quality Yale Industrial Trucks. I took over managing the operations of E. D. Farrell Company because there was a need for a Materials Handling company that would do business differently. While there were companies who offered material handling products, provided industrial trucks, and provided "safety programs", the level of customer service, responsiveness and overall commitment to quality was lacking. We now provide our innovative safety, forklift and materials handling solutions to thousands of businesses across New York and Pennsylvania. Which Program is right for you?
This is a question to which there can really be no regulated answer given. Every forklift will be different. How often you need to service them can depend on a whole host of different variables, such as how old the forklift is, how often it is being used, what sort of terrain it is being asked to negotiate and what sort of weights it is being asked to lift on a regular basis.

Safety Feature: Safety Pro Products!

Forklift Safety Pro™ allows lift truck operators to complete their daily or pre-shift safety inspections electronically, using their Apple mobile device. The completed inspection reports are then wirelessly transmitted to the email address of your choosing, typically a supervisor or dedicated inspection form repository.
 According to Dale Verseput, Select Equipment's Director of Sales, "The daily and pre-shift inspection reports, as required by OSHA, really lend themselves to the portability of a mobile application. With Forklift Safety Pro™, the employer has an inspection report which is Date/Time Stamped, is secure and durable, and can be archived in a paperless format."
Other features of the app include a daily safety question, a counter which lets the operator know how many days are left before he or she is required to be "re-certified", and if needed, an OSHA incident report form, a service request form, and an unsafe vehicle reporting form. The App is sold on Apple's iTunes and App Store for $4.99USD.
Verseput continues, "For a one time fee of $4.99, there are huge efficiencies that are gained. For operators who are dedicated to driving the same unit each day, they can store their default truck specs in the app to speed up their inspection time even further. Piles of illegible inspection forms and their requisite folders or notebooks are also eliminated."
Operators also have the ability to store their local lift truck service provider's contact information in the "Settings" panel for quick access.
