To Our Valued Customers,
February has already run its course this year and we quickly hit March with an air of change. The Pegula family has entered the hearts of Western New Yorkers through their purchase of the Buffalo Sabres. The Bills are weighing their options on how to revive their franchise this April. The snow SHOULD be starting to let up in the coming weeks. Perhaps you too should try something different this year, if you haven't already.
We are all fighting off cabin fever at this time of year and looking for something to do that doesn't involve a shovel. That being said, as we always extend to all of our customers, we'd like to offer you the opportunity to come and visit our facilities for an inside look at how we can service your material handling needs. Whether it be in our West Seneca, NY, Erie, Pa or Jamestown, NY locations we are always happy to take the time to show you our facilities and abilities.
We hope to see you soon! |

Safety Feature: Aerial Work Platforms
Are you using a "home made" work platform with your forklift? Are you unsure if you aerial work platform meets the safety requirements set forth by OSHA?
Believe it or not, there are a very specific set of requirements on the subject which can be found at the OSHA.gov website. Click Here
The following is an excerpt from a question response letter from OSHA.
"OHSA routinely encounters "improvised" or home-made forkliftable platforms which do not meet OHSA standards. If they are found to be in violation of OSHA standards, or of the general duty clause, then these forklift operators are issued citations for these violations. With regard to your questions on suspended lifts, OSHA does not limit the method which an employer chooses to perform its work, provided it is in compliance with all applicable standards. It is the employer's responsibility to assure that its employees have a safe and healthy work environment. It is not permitted for employees to be elevated by a forklift while on the forks or a pallet. Acceptable platforms must have an OSHA approved decal certification on the platform and some device to secure the platform to the truck."
If you find that your current solution is not meeting OSHA guidelines, let us help you out in the interim until you can find a better permanent solution.
