To Our Valued Customers,
With raking almost behind us and those frost covered lawns beginning to appear more regularly, we rapidly approach the colder months and all the winter merriment that they bring with them. Thanksgiving is still yet to come, however, so unlike all of our local retailers that are already in full Christmas mode, we, at E. D. Farrell Co., Inc., just wanted to take a moment to share our thanks.
Though 2010 has been a year fraught with change, adaptation and challenge, we are happy to say that through our strong and ever growing base of customers, vendors and supply chain partners, we continue on in our strong tradition.
As a small family based business, our four generations have always tried to treat our employees, as well as our customers, as if they were friends and family. We are quite thankful for the opportunity to have done this for 76 years, and we look forward to doing it for another 76.

Loads come in a variety of shapes, weights and sizes. Use the right truck for the load. A professional operator knows when it is safe to lift a load. If you have any questions or doubts - see your supervisor.
Forklift Operators can work SMART by:
Check capacity plate for maximum capacity, load center, and maximum fork height.
Make sure the load is packed tightly. Leave no loose items that could fall off.
Do not handle loads taller then the load backrest unless the load is secured so no part of it can fall.
Only use sturdy, secure pallets or skids.
Forklift Operators can work SAFE by:
Always check the weight and load center of the load you are going to lift.
See your supervisor before lifting odd sized loads.
Spread the forks as wide as possible by pushing the forks away from you - do not pull them toward you when changing fork position.
