As summer comes to a close, we have apple and pumpkin seasons coming up, our children returning to school and our days of lawnmowing are numbered. We are all approaching that time of year when the hectic days of summer are behind of us and we can dive into the projects that we were too busy for all summer, whether it be our resolution to see the bottom of our desks, or to finally get our warehouses cleaned up this year. Safety Feature - Forklifts & Elevators
Are you unsure about taking forklifts in elevators?
Some things you should know about using forklifts in elevators
1. The total weight of your truck and load combined. The weight capacity of the elevator.
2. When waiting for an elevator, park at an angle to the doors at least 6 feet away.
3. Drive onto elevators slowly. Position the truck in the center of the elevator.
4. Turn off power. Set the parking brake. The load should always be lowered when in the elevator.
5. Allow no other people in an elevator while entering or leaving.
6. Motorized hand trucks must be driven into the elevator load first.
