Parts Feature - Anderson Connectors
Are your battery connectors broken or are the cables in them loose? The nature of plugging in and unplugging these connectors and letting them dangle on the side of the truck can lead to them being damaged easily. Per OSHA requirements, these connectors need to be in good working order and not broken or cracked. Don't let yourself get caught with broken connectors. Service Feature - Operational Maintenance
Are your companies forklifts setup with our service department for routine maintenance inspections?
The recommeded interval for service is between 200-500 hours of usage (Truck Specific) or at least once per calender year to ensure that not only all the moving parts of the truck are functioning properly, but also to ensure that the safety components are in place to help protect the driver and workers nearby. When you choose E. D. Farrell Co., Inc. as your service maintenance provider, we set you up in our system and call you when your equipment is due. No need to worry about remembering when your last service was done or trying to figure out where the serial number is and what type of filters the forklift needs. We also provide, as a part of the operational maintenance, free inspections and quotes of any failing or soon to fail parts of your truck, so that you can decide when to invest in your equipment, not just when it completely stops working.

Safety Feature - Ladders in the workplace
Ladders, like many other pieces of equipment that are used often and taken for granted, require care. Every worker needs to be certain that the ladder being used is strong enough to support him and the load that may be carried without fear of tipping over. Workers who think of a ladder as a tool will be more aware of ladder safety and less likely to take chances when using a ladder. Use the following checklist as a guide to inspecting your facilities ladders.
- Are all the rungs, cleats, or steps in good condition?
- Are the side rails intact without any cracks, bends or breaks?
- Do the rungs, cleats, or steps fit snuggly into the side rails?
- Is the ladder free of corrosion?
- Are the side rails and steps free of oil or grease?
- Are the ladder's hardware and fittings secure and undamaged?
- Do moveable parts operate freely without binding or excessive play?
- Are the ropes on extension ladders intact without fraying or excessive wear?
- Are damaged ladders removed from service and marked "Do not use?"
