Loveland DDA Passes - New opportunities await Downtown Loveland

A vibrant downtown is at the heart of every successful community. We believe a solid foundation is necessary for Loveland's downtown to thrive. We trust that the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) can be that foundation to help Loveland grow, and we want to thank those who trust in us as well. With your support, we will be able to build a better community, a future for our downtown businesses, better public infrastructure, and strong economic development for Loveland. Loveland will now have an organization that will enhance downtown Loveland as a civic, cultural, social and economic center. We are excited to see this project grow, and for downtown Loveland to flourish. Thank you and stay tuned for more updates!

Northern Colorado Legislative Alliance (NCLA)
Health Care Exchange to Undergo Scrutiny

The Connect for Health, Colorado's health benefit exchange is a step closer to undergoing additional scrutiny with the passage of a pair of legislative proposals last week.  Connect for Health has been the subject of criticism for high costs and logistical issues with the consumer interface.

Pot Revenues Could Benefit Transportation Funding

Meanwhile, as Republicans and Democrats dig in their heels on the question of whether TABOR surpluses should be returned to the or retained for other state purposes legislators may be finding common ground on asking voters for permission to retain the overage of revenue generated by marijuana sales taxes, and the unintended beneficiary could be transportation.

In this week's NCLA Under the Dome, see how Connect for Health will be more accountable while transportation and pot are oddly linked in 2015.  Keep track of introduced legislation and the NCLA's position on bills by linking to our NCLA Legislative Tracking Report. The NCLA Board of Directors engages in legislation that intersects with the NCLA's 2015 Priority Legislative Agenda.
