2011-2013 Leadership Loveland Class Helps Launch Build Boys & Girls Club BMX Bike Track

The Loveland Chamber of Commerce and the 2011-2013 Leadership Loveland Class were excited to join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County for the grand opening of its BMX Bike Track. This Leadership Loveland class worked closely with the Boys & Girls Club to secure funding for and build this bike track as part of their class project. Kathi Wright, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County, knows this graduating class has made a difference for her program. "The Loveland unit of Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County truly appreciates the Leadership Loveland Class of 2011-2013 and their work to build a BMX track as their community project.  We could not have done it ourselves."

  

 

Loveland Water and Power Launches Customer Survey

Loveland Water and Power is asking customers to fill out their new survey to gain a better understanding of their customers' needs and wants, their response to existing and potential programs or policies, and their understanding of the municipals services. The survey will be open until May 31 and is available at www.cityofloveland.org/LWPSurvey in English and Spanish and paper copies are also available at the LWP Service Center, 200 N. Wilson Ave or by calling 970-962-3000. 

 

Loveland Energy Action Project to Host Energy Panel Discussion

Loveland Energy Action Project, a community action organization focused on energy development in Northern Colorado, announced it will host a panel discussion about Loveland's energy choices on Wed., May 7 from 7-8:30 p.m. The free event will be held in the Cherry Room at the Chilson Senior Center located at 700 E. 4th St. in Loveland. The event is open to the public. The panel will discuss the impact of energy development on Loveland's water supply, its economy and the community. In addition, the panel will discuss the role the federal, state and local government has in regulation of the industry. READ MORE...

OLD FASHIONED CORN ROAST FESTIVAL
SAVE THE DATE: 2014 Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival Aug. 22-23, 2014

The 2014 Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival is slated for Aug. 22-23, 2014. The event includes the parade, corn shucking competition, corn eating contest, and all the roasted and boiled corn you can eat! In addition, people of all ages will enjoy a variety of entertainment, great vendors and more. General attendance and all concerts are free and open to the public. More to come!
