Chamber Launches Text Messaging Alerts

As business owners and professionals, we are inundated with email. While most email is important and essential for business, sometimes new communication options make sense to keep us on top of the topics, events and opportunities we care about most. With that in mind, the chamber has launched text messaging alerts as a way for members to be notified of the events that they care about most. Opt in now by texting 313131 in the To: box. Send one of these text messages to opt-in: 

  • General chamber text messages: notify chamberlvld
  • Only Business After Hours chamber text messages: notify chamberlvld bah
  • Only Stir chamber text messages: notify chamberlvld stir

You can opt-in to one, two, or all three, but each one needs to be sent separately to 313131.

OLD FASHIONED CORN ROAST FESTIVAL
SAVE THE DATE: 2014 Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival 

The 2014 Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival is slated for Aug. 22-23, 2014. The event includes the parade, corn shucking competition, corn eating contest, and all the roasted and boiled corn you can eat! In addition, people of all ages will enjoy a variety of entertainment, great vendors and more. General attendance and all concerts are free and open to the public. More to come!

A lot has changed in the world of telecommunications

and Internet technology since 1987. The one thing that hasn't are the state laws that regulate the telecommunications industry. Last week, the House Business Affairs and Labor passed a package of legislative proposals that seek to update the telecommunications laws to reflect today's modern technology.

 

In this week's NCLA Under the Dome, learn more about the politics and details surrounding the effort to bring Colorado law into the modern age.

Community Marketplace
Sat. April 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Whether you are looking to shop locally for a unique item you can't find anywhere else or eat at you favorite food truck/carts, the Community Marketplace is the perfect place. This biannual fundraising event showcases local artisans and vendors giving a venue to sell their merchandise at a reasonable price.
