Save the Date: Destination Downtown II, Weds. Oct. 30
This year's Destination Downtown event will take place at the Rialto
Theater Center Weds., Oct. 30 with the theme "Destination Downtown Continues...Piecing the Puzzle." At the original event five years ago, former US Congressman Bill Hudnut referred to downtown as a jigsaw puzzle, and how each of us plays a role in finding and assembling the pieces. Now that some of the pieces seem to be falling into place, this forum will be a chance to ignite a conversation about what makes downtown areas walkable, livable, lovable and fun! Ed McMahon of the Urban Land Institute will be the featured speaker to address trends and developments that are changing metropolitan America. We will also celebrate the achievements in downtown over the past five years and feature an analysis of commercial and residential real estate trends in downtown. |
