Executive Speaker Programs Features Whole Foods CEO
Students, alumni and friends of the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado will have the opportunity to hear Whole Foods Inc. Co-CEO Walter Robb speak on Tuesday, April 16. He'll present "Building a Culture of Conscious Capitalism" at 6:15 p.m. in Kepner Hall on the University of Northern Colorado campus.  2013 Annual Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival
The 2013 Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival, slated for Aug. 23-24, 2013, has moved back downtown. The event includes the parade, corn shucking competition, corn eating contest, and all the roasted and boiled corn you can eat! In addition, people of all ages will enjoy a variety of entertainment, the Loveland's Got Talent Competition and more. General attendance and all concerts are free and open to the public. 30 Days Left and Big Issues Still Looming... And Coming With 30 days left in the 120-day legislative session, time is running short on numerous big and debatable issues that are still pending or were just introduced. From pending contentious issues like school finance, marijuana, and oil and gas to newly introduced, yet controversial, matters as the renewable energy standard and state procurement, a convergence with time will test patience and politics in the coming month. In this week's NCLA Under the Dome, we look at some of issues that will occupy the next 30 days.
