Business Pulled into Gun Control and FMLA Debates
With the introduction of Senate Bill 13-196, Assault Weapon Responsibility Act, Senate President John Morse pulled all businesses that create a consumer product into the gun control fray by creating a new standard in product liability. Meanwhile, House Bill 13-1227 proposes a Colorado-specific expansion of leave available to employees under the FMLA.
In this week's NCLA Under the Dome, we dig into some of the details of the NCLA opposed bills, SB 196 and HB 1227.
And, don't forget, NCLA and our Northern Colorado Legislators share their perspectives as we reach the mid-way point of the 2013 Legislative Session during our 2013 Mid-Term Legislative Event with Northern Colorado Legislators on, Friday, March 15th. Register and join us from 3:30 until 5:30pm at the Best Western Crossroads Inn & Conference Center in Loveland.
Keep track of introduced legislation and the NCLA's position on bills by linking to NCLA's 2013 Legislative Tracking Report. The NCLA Board of Directors engages in legislation that intersects with the NCLA's 2013 Priority Legislative Agenda.
