NCLA Leads Colorado Business Community as Amendment 64 Implementation Task Force Completes Its Work
This week, the Governor's Amendment 64 Implementation Task Force concluded two months of work in crafting recommendations to the Colorado General Assembly and state regulators for the implementation of Amendment 64, the constitutional amendment that legalized the possession of one ounce of marijuana. Throughout the process, the NCLA played the lead role on behalf of a coalition of statewide and regional business organizations in Colorado securing key policy recommendations to assure employers maintain their authority and discretion to enforce drug use work place polices. In this week's NCLA Under the Dome, we provide an overview of the Task Force recommendations including the employer-related recommendations. Keep track of introduced legislation and the NCLA's position on bills by linking to NCLA's 2013 Legislative Tracking Report. The NCLA Board of Directors engages in legislation that intersects with the NCLA's 2013 Priority Legislative Agenda.
