SmallCorp Introduces Optium Vitrines and Over-sized Optium Glazing
After an intense period of R & D, we're ready to go public with our latest innovation.  SmallCorp is proud to now offer vitrines made from 6mm Optium Museum Acrylic. Optium Museum Acrylic consists of an abrasion-resistant UV-filtering acrylic sheet, with an anti-static, anti-reflective coating on both sides - it's so clear it has to be seen to be believed. We'll have examples on display at the AIC Annual Meeting in Miami this May, and at the Tru-Vue booth at both AIC and the American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting and MuseumExpo in late April.  If you just can't wait that long, let us know and we'll send you a corner sample for just $10.

And if that's not enough to get you excited - have you ever had a piece of artwork that deserves the best glazing, but is just a little too big for a standard-sized 72" x 120" sheet of Optium Museum Acrylic? SmallCorp can now seam two pieces of 6mm Optium Museum Acrylic end to end to fit your art. The result is lighter than glass, more flexible and easier to work with. I'd show you a picture, but you wouldn't be able to see the seam! We've already shipped to several prestigious institutions and framers. We'll have samples for you to look at in May at AIC, and at the Tru-Vue booth at both AIC and AAM.  Or, contact us to buy your own any time for $10.

Big Doings in Hartford

What else have we been working on, you ask? Lately we've been fabricating nearly a hundred cases for the Wadsworth Atheneum, America's oldest continually operating public museum. The Wadsworth is undergoing an historic expansion, and we're proud to be playing a role, along with Stephen Saitas Design Studio, Consigli Construction, and all the good folks at the Wadsworth. Check out the results this fall, or stop in before May 31 to see the Coney Island show.

Be on the Lookout
We'll be launching a new, updated SmallCorp.com very soon.  Stop in for a visit...

New Dr. Seuss Museum
Western Massachusetts is proud to be the home of Dr. Seuss, and we're excited that next year a new museum will open in his  honor.

Welded Steel Frames
Steel is hot! Don't forget about our welded steel frames. They come with a natural mill scale finish, with the weld bead left on, or ground off. We make both traditional and float frame versions.
