Greetings!

Welcome to SmallCorp News, our bi-monthly effort to stay in touch and share some of the valuable tips and information we've accumulated in our 40-plus years of manufacturing museum-quality display cases and picture frames.

If you find the newsletter useful, please feel free to pass it along to a colleague who might benefit from it, and if you have suggestions on improvements or future topics, don't hesitate to let me know.

Thank you again for your association with SmallCorp, we couldn't do it without you.

Best regards,
Mike Dunphy

New  Product - NSR Frames

Our new extrusion uses metal clips to fasten the strainer to the frame, eliminating the need for screws. The 3" profile can be trimmed to 2" or 2-1/2". The NSR frame comes with a 3/4" poplar strainer and installation clips. Black powdercoat is standard, but it's available in any of our powdercoat colors for an additional charge.

View our newly revised catalog for pricing.

Blowing Our Own Horn

We recently delivered a new case for the New-York Historical Society's Audubon Books, which will be on display as a part of Audubon's Aviary: The Complete Flock part one of a three part series to be exhibited over the next three years. Read more here.

Introducing
The RHiser

Have you ever wished you could use silica gel media inside a case but found no good place to hide it?

We now make risers designed to both support your object and also provide silica gel storage with excellent air circulation. They can even be used as a vertical backdrop behind your object.

RHisers can be powdercoated aluminum or fabric-wrapped. The fabric-wrapped version can be made with or without a layer of pinnable 9 pound ethafoam.

Survey Update - Brass Picture Frames

A while back we asked readers to weigh in on whether we ought to offer brass frames again. There was a fair amount of popular support for the idea, and thank you to everyone who responded. In the end we decided not to get back into the brass frame business. We haven't been able to make a frame that's both up to our quality  standards and also affordable.

Bronze Powdercoat

SmallCorp Bronze Powdercoat

We're adding a new standard powdercoat to our lineup.  We'll be making up new color charts and would be glad to send one to you. Just let Sarah know.
Lost and Found

Read the  story of the Diego Rivera  painting known as 'El Albani', thought to be lost since the 1920s.  The current owner, whose great-grandparents purchased the painting from Rivera in Mexico, brought it to The Antiques Roadshow in Corpus Christi, Texas for an assessment of its value.  $800,000 to $1M!!!
