Greetings!

Welcome to SmallCorp News, our bi-monthly effort to stay in touch and share some of the valuable tips and information we've accumulated in our 40-plus years of manufacturing museum-quality display cases and picture frames.

If you find the newsletter useful, please feel free to pass it along to a colleague who might benefit from it, and if you have suggestions on improvements or future topics, don't hesitate to let me know.

Thank you again for your association with SmallCorp, we couldn't do it without you.

Best regards,
Mike Dunphy

Behold: Yale's  Stunning Art Gallery Re-opens

You may have noticed that we've been a little busy this last year. Among other things, we've been working very hard to supply hundreds of museum cases and related accessories to the Yale University Art Gallery, in anticipation of a  grand re-opening  December 12, 2012.

The opening represents the culmination of a nearly 20 year project, which involved not just the renovation and integration of three historic buildings, but also the conservation and presentation of thousands of objects and works of art from Yale's world-class collection.

Congratulations to everyone at Yale who worked so hard to make this project a reality. We are honored to have been a part of it.

Home for the Holidays

SmallCorp will be closing at noon on Friday, December 21, and re-opening January 2, 2013.  We're sorry if this causes any inconvenience, and we look forward to talking to you when we return.

Here's to a safe and happy holiday season for all!

Happy Holidays!

Lead Times: Getting Back to Normal

Thanks to all of you who have been so patient with our longer-than-normal lead times as we experienced a banner year.  Not only have we wrapped up some large projects, but we have also expanded our capacity in terms of both people and equipment.  We're here and ready to serve, and we anticipate that our lead times will be much more reasonable in the coming weeks.

New England Museum Association - Burlington 2012

Thanks to everyone who visited our booth at NEMA's 97th annual conference in    Burlington, VT.  We had a great time and learned a lot, and we hope you did as well. We look forward to seeing you all November 13-15, 2013 in Newport, RI.

Sandy's Aftermath

Hurricane Sandy hit the Northeast hard, and many of our clients, suppliers and friends are still recovering - and will be for some time. Our hearts go out to them and we wish them the best in this difficult time.

Here's a good article about the storm and how it has brought together some unlikely partners.

 The SmallCorp Tig2

We always like to see the results of our labors. Our frames don't look nearly as impressive without your art.

Thanks to The Mad Framer in Santa Fe and artist Susan York for this photo of our Tig 2 frames in white at  The New Mexico Museum of Art as a part of a series - check out alcove 12.5
