Raise Your Glass Event  - A Huge Success!
Thank you to the 150 guests who attended this 3rd annual event. The new venue Factory Luxe at the old Rainier Brewery received rave reviews as did the wineries, brewery and cidery.  By the end of the evening over $10,000 was raised, thanks to our many sponsors and donors.
We also featured Seattle Pacific University nursing school students who presented their very powerful WAVE Foundation supported project (to learn more).
Matt Hughes from VGM Insurance Services was our special guest. He came all the way from Iowa to present The WAVE Foundation with a $1,000 check!
The generous donation came from VGM Insurance Services, an affiliate of PT1 Insurance Services - Therapeutic Associates' insurance provider.  VGM Insurance is celebrating 25 years in business by donating to charities nominated by it's insureds and affiliated companies and insurance agencies.
Thank you TAI for your nomination and continued show of support.
New and Exciting for This Year's Ride!
How does a new Finish Line Celebration Wine and Beer Garden sound for this year's 8th annual ride?  Tickets can be purchased or gained by fundraising a minimum $100 donation.
We are very happy to welcome long time WAVE supporter Sol Stone Winery plus local Redmond brewery, Postdoc Brewery as sponsors at the Bellevue College Finish Line party.
The Seattle Cycle Sirens will also be leading several training rides from Postdoc Brewery this summer...Are you thirsty yet?
Registration News
We give special thanks to the women who have already registered for Cycle the WAVE 2015.  Word of mouth is always the best form of advertising and we still have great deals for those who register early.  The June registration price special of $70 has been extended until July 15th.  Remember that ONLY the first 1,000 riders earn the famous CtW gift bag...so what are you waiting for?  Sign up and invite a friend to the season's best ride experience, all while raising funds and making a difference to so many in the region who need our help. Riders can also get an additional $5 off by using promo code: cyclethewave (all lowercase, no spaces).
Meet Rider Julianne
Julianne Courtenay is a wife, mother, and physical therapist-shareholder for Therapeutic Associates in Southern California.  She is also an avid Cycle the WAVE supporter and travels three states and over 1500 miles to support the cause.
Upon hearing about Cycle the WAVE by her good friend and original founder of CtW, Sharon Anderson, Julianne knew she had to take action, join the cause, and support this merge of important things - helping people + her love of the beautiful Pacific Northwest + her love of riding.
Although Julianne does not have a personal experience with what victims of domestic violence face, she knew it was important to take action and support the mission of raising awareness.  Just like being a personal function and mobility advocate as a Physical Therapist, Julianne knows that her activity in CtW makes her an advocate for an important cause that helps so many.  Julianne truly embodies what it means to be a leader within healthcare as well as a champion for a cause that has such great impact.
Thank you, Julianne, for all you do! Read more about Julianne...

Get Your Picture Taken at STP
After a couple years off, the WAVE crew is back helping out at this year's STP event.  Swing by the REI rest stop in Kent (mile 24, open 5:45am-9:30am) and say "hi" to our team.  The beach party theme will be in full effect as we take photos at a fun selfie-style photo booth next to the bike corral.
Cool Fundraising Incentives Added
Nobody is required to raise funds in addition to registering but it's these funds that help to make Cycle the WAVE a financial success.  To sweeten the incentive pot, riders can earn automatic incentives starting at only $100 raised (free drink ticket to be used at the Finish Line Beer and Wine Garden), then $200 (custom CtW buff) and at $500 (VIP CtW vest).  We'll also have added prizes from Wahoo Fitness, Po Campo bags and accessories and other fabulous products.  Ride solo or get a team together and join the fun.
Check out our  Team Captain's Tool Box (put together by Team Chai Captain Randy Simon) for team help and ideas.
