Congratulations to our Grant Recipients!

Thanks to your amazing support of the 2014 Cycle the WAVE event, The WAVE Foundation awarded $80,000 in grant monies to agencies that will make a big impact on prevention education this year:
  • Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County will bring "The Empowerment Project" to 400 middle and high school students' health classes.
  • LifeWire will reach an estimated 2500 young people through its VOICES and "Coaching Boys to Men".  CBTM is innovating within the framework of high school athletics teaching men the importance of respecting women.
  • New Beginnings will serve 100 Seattle middle school students with their individually tailored education project "Owning Up".
  • YWCA Spokane felt compelled to take action after a murder/suicide in a Spokane hospital shattered the myth that domestic violence is not only a private matter.  They will work with the local business community bringing workshops to the workplace through "Make it Your Business".
  • Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence will expand their existing healthy relationship initiatives begun in 2009 with an estimated outreach of 3600 teens and young adults across WA State.

Thank you to all of our fundraisers and donors for your support!

You are directly changing lives and bringing hope and peace to our communities.
