Getting Ready to Ride with Windsor!
I found cycling somewhat intimidating when I first started in 2011. I lacked confidence. Through my community I learned about Cycle the WAVE. It completely opened my eyes to the joys of group riding and I'm thoroughly hooked! Since then I've gotten involved with Cascade Bicycle Club where I now serve as a ride leader with a focus on helping newer or less experienced riders to build confidence and safe group riding skills.
Are you new to cycling or planning to ride in your first big event, such as Cycle the WAVE or Flying Wheels, and aren't sure if you are "ready"? Consider joining me and my fellow Cascade ride leaders in the free Getting Ready to Ride series training rides. This series started Feb. 8th and runs seven weekends with starting points in Seattle, on the Eastside and the South end. Pace options will be Leisurely (10-12 mph on the flats) and Steady (12-14 mph on the flats). This will be a supportive series of rides to have fun, build your cycling confidence, learn to safely ride in traffic and in a group, and of course to meet other cyclists like yourself. More info here on the GR2R series. |
