In today's digital world, simply using technology is not enough. Our mission at Youth Digital is to empower children to become technology creators and innovators - to prepare them for success in the digital world. We want kids to be creative and productive with the technology they already love.
The programs we teach are stepping-stones toward professional-level software, not watered down tools. We challenge kids - regardless of their parent's expertise - to explore and create. It is a hands-on learning experience that is as fun as it is effective. Kids walk away from camp with real-world skills and a better insight into what it means to be a digital creator, designer, animator, programmer or developer.

Experience The Great Outdoors!
Established in 1973 on 40 acres of farm and forest in Roswell, High Meadows offers campers a structured recreational program focusing on self-improvement, personal responsibility, and environmental respect. In a relaxed, caring, and non-competitive atmosphere, each camper is encouraged to engage in new experiences and social relationships.
Each day, we welcome 300 children, from age 4 - 15, to our beautiful campus. Bus transportation is available from various locations in the north metro area. Groups are arranged by grade level, and generally have 12 - 15 children with two counselors. Activities, offered at age-appropriate levels, may include Animal Care, Arts & Crafts, Archery, Swimming, Sports, Canoeing, Traditions, Darkroom Photography, Pony Rides, Ropes, Dance, Drama, Nature, Pioneering, and Woodworking. Preschoolers participate in a shortened day program with constant nurturing supervision and exploration of our property and activities. Our oldest campers, rising 5th - 9th graders, exercise responsibility and decision making in developing and following their own class schedule, and by participating in our Knighthood program, which encourages high-level achievement and recognition in each of our activities.
High Meadows, accredited by the American Camp Association, offers a unique, traditional, outdoor program with well-established traditions and an exemplary staff. Our summer fun goes hand-in-hand with learning, achievement, and enrichment.

Our renovated and expanded classroom spaces received rave reviews in 2014 and now include our main education building, porch, cabin, Native American Teepee, and Foxes Den. Year after year, our camps achieve satisfaction ratings of nearly 100% and most of our new camp families each summer come as referrals from other campers! This past summer, the Nature Center served over 750 children through our camps at Dunwoody Park and Island Ford. Were their parents satisfied? You Bet! Among surveyed respondents, 99% said that they would recommend the Nature Center's camps to a friend and 98% plan to return again this summer.
We're so excited about our summer camp lineup for 2015 that features several new camp themes as well as our many of our camper's favorites from years' past. Last year, every one of our camps filled to capacity so don't delay!

Give Your Child A

Attending summer overnight camp is about more than campfires and color war. At camp, kids explore who they are and who they want to become in an active, inspiring, fun-filled environment. Campers are bunkmates and team players, artists and athletes, creative problem-solvers and blossoming leaders, developing independence and communication skills they will use their entire lives.
Why attend a Jewish camp? Like any overnight camp, Jewish camp is just plain fun. And it's much more: it's camp with a soul. Jewish camp is packed with action - boating, basketball, film making, rock climbing, cooking, archery, painting, drama, and dance- while giving kids the opportunity to learn about values of their heritage, independence, friendship, community, fairness, diversity, giving back, and inclusion. At Jewish camp, ruach (spirit) is part of every activity, connecting campers to Judaism in a meaningful way while having fun.
Camp promotes your child's individual growth in an enriching Jewish environment.
When it comes to camp, one size doesn't fit all kids or all budgets. The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta's Community Camp Ambassador can help you select the right camp for your child and help you identify resources to make camp more affordable for your family.
If this is your child's first Jewish overnight camp experience, they may be eligible to receive a One Happy Camper incentive which provides up to $1,000 off your first summer. Campers enrolling for their second year of Jewish overnight camp who received a One Happy Camper grant last summer (2014) may be eligible to receive up to $500.
Let Federation help your family plan your child's journey to overnight Jewish camp. It is sure to be a life changing experience that impacts your whole family for years to come.
