The holidays are fast approaching and while the focus right now is on the turkey, shopping and family, moms around the metro will need a break from "the break". Whether its for Thanksgiving week or you are thinking ahead to Winter Break, we all need a little help.
CineMoms is kicking off our annual Winter Break Survival Guide, with a blast dedicated to Winter Camps, Activities and more. Its not too early to make your plans to combat the boredom that sets in after the turkey and presents are long gone!
Overnight Camp!  Its not too early to start thinking about overnight camp as many fill up fast! Our new partner, Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta has great news for our readers. Welcome to RISING STARS BASKETBALL CAMPS! We are in our 18th year in the Atlanta area as the premier provider of Youth Basketball Camps for boys and girls ages 5-13 during Summer and Winter Holidays. Our certified coaches and counselors provide a terrific learning environment at each of our venues.
Registration is now open for Winter Holiday School Break Camps!
All clinics will run from 8:30am-3:00pm daily for boys and girls ages 5 - 13. Click here for a complete list of venues and dates. Players may choose individual days or entire session. Please check our daily camp schedule page for activities throughout each day and our FAQ page for other frequently asked questions. Each day campers will receive one Rising Stars award (T-Shirt, Gym Bag, Ball, etc) and Hustle, Attitude, and Sportsmanship awards.

Full-Day camp hours are 9:30 - 3:30 for K-5th graders and 9:30 - 12:30 for 3 and 4 year olds.

Keep your kids active and engaged during their break with Dunwoody Nature Center's Winter Break Camp. Join us for two separate sessions of fun and adventure as we explore the winter climate and study its effect on the animals, plants, and habitats of Dunwoody Park. Winter camp is open in half day sessions for 3 & 4 year olds, and full day sessions for Kindergarten through 5th graders.

Holiday Camps!
Our motto is "sports & fun, rolled into one"! Your child will get a healthy dose of active fun in the form of many sports and recreational games in a non-competitive environment. Sports Campers (ages 6-12) will try their hand at a variety of recreational games and sports such as fencing, golf, tennis, squash, Hip Hop, kayaking, swimming and more. Kids Club Campers (ages 3-5) enjoy Playball, basketball, soccer, tennis, bounce house and swimming, just to name a few. Please note the below pricing, dates and hours of camp. Please complete the registration form and medical form and return along with payment to hold your child's spot. Our CIT (Counselor In Training) program is offered in the winter and summer. This allows your teenager (ages 13 & 14) to learn what it takes to become a camp counselor and assist experienced counselors with camp.

Winter Break Camp is a 4-day camp getaway from the traditional classroom and the couch cushion. Campers put on their scientist hat to find all of the winter wonders that lie on our property- spider webs under leaves, insects burrowing into Beech trees, rodent runs, and swooping birds of prey. Daily schedules include indoor and outdoor FUN built around winter ecology themes like "Mammal Survival."Campers always thoroughly enjoy STARLAB, a mini-observatory where the night sky is projected above in the black dome.
