 May 2016
In coming weeks, you will hear more about a Colorado ballot initiative the CDA is supporting. This initiative proposes a tax increase on tobacco products. If passed, this initiative is estimated to raise nearly $198 million for tobacco cessation, research and other healthcare-related programs, including those that would greatly improve access to dental care.
Funding will assist primary care clinics in the implementation of telehealth services. It will support up to $100,000 for costs associated with the purchase of telehealth equipment and the employment of workflow or billing consultants. Private practices also may apply for low-interest loans.
The 2016 Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM) is only three weeks away, and volunteers are still needed. The clinic is June 17-18 in Brush, Colo. This is the 10th anniversary of the clinic! Sign up today, and help COMOM celebrate 10 years of donated dental care!
A long time ago, your website might have been a work of art. But unlike fine wines and cheeses, websites only get worse with age. How can you know if your website is up-to-date? These three quick tests will help you figure out where you stand in as little as 10 minutes.
Peer Assistance Services Inc. and the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) are teaming up to provide free training and technical assistance on screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment for Colorado Medicaid providers.
The CDA would like to remind its members who have recently moved to new offices or homes to update their profiles in the ADA database (ADA login and password are required). While there, verify that other information, including phone numbers, email addresses and websites, is accurate.
The resolutions the 2016 House of Delegates will vote on are ready to review. Read the resolutions and view the proposed budget for 2016-2017. Among the resolutions is one brought forth by the CDA Finance Council to increase member dues by $11 per active member. The dues amount for other membership categories will reflect the adjustment per the CDA Bylaws.
