 March 2016
The Colorado Dental Board is reviewing its rules and policies. These changes will affect your practice. Voice your thoughts on these rule changes before it's too late! Your opportunities to provide feedback include a stakeholders meeting on Friday, March 4; a final rulemaking session on Thursday, April 28; and through written comments.
Dental care access in rural communities in Colorado continues to be a hot button issue in the state. That's why one dentist, Dr. Arnold Cullum, has taken it upon himself to make a difference, via a mobile dental clinic he calls Rural Dental Centers. Cullum hopes his traveling clinic will relieve a burden of remote, low-income households throughout the state that struggle with access to a nearby dentist.
Represent your component as a delegate to the CDA House of Delegates. Learn first-hand about issues affecting your profession. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved with organized dentistry. The deadline to submit your name is Friday, April 8.
The ADA 2016 annual meeting is coming to Denver Oct. 20-23. Having the meeting in our backyard means you have a great opportunity to earn CE that can go toward the required 30 CE credit hours dentists and dental hygienists must earn during each licensure cycle. This new requirement began March 1, the start of the 2016-18 licensure cycle.
