Colorado Dental Association eNews
 February 2016
The CDA Annual Session is Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Embassy Suites Loveland. Unlike traditional three-day annual meetings, this year's Annual Session will be one day. You'll still get down to business in the House of Delegates, network over a luncheon, learn about current trends in dentistry and unwind at the Past President's Reception.
The deadline to renew your dental license--Monday, Feb. 29--is nearing! License renewal is now available through the Colorado Dental Board's website. If you have not already done so, please remember to renew your state dental license before it expires. Dentists and dental hygienists are not permitted to practice dentistry without a current license.
The CDA needs dentists from across the state to join us in meeting legislators and providing them with information on the importance of dental health. Why? Because dental health matters. Lobby Day is Friday, Feb. 19! Your voice, as a dentist, can make a real difference. Sign up today!
Many victims of identity theft don't know they've been compromised until it's too late. Stolen identities are becoming more common. Nobody is immune, including dentists. Keeping up-to-date with identity theft trends can protect you. The IRS has released video tax tips to provide critical information to help protect their tax and financial data.
Conflict can occur in any workplace, but you, as a manager, can determine how you let it affect your workplace. Sign up now to attend Conflict Management, a Masters Series program, March 11, from 8 a.m. to noon, at CDA headquarters in Greenwood Village, Colo., and earn three continuing education credits for only $149.
The CDA would like to thank Colorado dentists and their teams that volunteered for the 2016 Give Kids a Smile Day, which took place Friday, Feb. 5 as part of National Children's Dental Health Month. Check out the CDA Facebook page for photos from the event. Feel free to tag yourself and your team members!
Congratulations to the following CDA members and partner organizations on their recent honors and their latest achievements. Dentists are known to be leaders in their communities. It's no surprise they're often recognized for their hard work.
