Do Changes to the Colorado Medicaid Dental Program (CMDP) Affect You?     

The Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities program will be incorporated into the CMDP in July 2015, the state implemented changes to the Adult Dental Services Rule, and DentaQuest updated its office reference manual. Click here to learn more

Anesthesia Rule Changes Adopted by State Dental Board
In April 2015, the State Dental Board held a final rulemaking hearing on anesthesia rule changes to help implement the dental sunset review bill. The proposed rules were adopted with minimal editorial changes and will take effect June 30. Click here to read more.

New Optimal Level of Fluoride in Drinking Water Announced
The Department of Health and Human Services released its final Public Health Service recommendation for the optimal fluoride level in drinking water to prevent tooth decay. this replaces the previous recommended range issued in 1962. Click here to read more
New Dentists Mentor Graduating Dental Students at Two Fun Events
The first week of May, the CDA held two events as a way to introduce soon-to-be graduates of the CU School of Dental Medicine to the association. May 2 was the third annual New Dentists Meet the Students, and May 5 was National Signing Day. Click here to learn more
CDA Dentists Headed to Capitol Hill for the Washington Leadership Conference
A delegation of CDA dentists traveled to Washington, D.C., April 27-29 to lobby their legislators as part of the ADA's 2015 Washington Leadership Conference, a nationwide effort held every spring to increase awareness about oral health issues. Click here to read more.
