Fluoride Issues Continue in Colorado 
From Loveland to Montrose, and Breckenridge in between, several communities across Colorado have been dealing with fluoridation issues. The good news: Loveland has decided to continue fluoridating. The bad news: Montrose, Delta and neighboring communities still are without optimal fluoride. Click here to read more
 
Thank you for your membership in organized dentistry this year.  2014 was a big year for dentistry in Colorado, as the legislature reviewed virtually every law that governs dentistry.  The CDA testified on behalf of the dental profession and organized dentistry to protect its members and the public. Important Dental Office Tax Credits     

Congress just passed H.R. 5771, which has extended the Section 179 expensing tax provision for this year. These Section 179 tax provisions allow dental practices to deduct up to $500,000 for investments in new equipment and property. Click here to read more.  

 
X-ray Fee Increase    

The State Board of Health met on Dec. 17 to approve a formal rulemaking hearing for proposed x-ray fee increases. The CDA submitted written comments expressing concern with the degree of the fee increase for dental offices.  Click here to read more.

 
Medicaid Dental Director Job Opening 
DentaQuest is hiring a new dental director for Colorado. The position requires a dental degree and 5 years of clinical experience. Applicants must live in Colorado.

Register for Give Kids a Smile 2015!    
There's still time to register for Give Kids a Smile Day on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015!  While that date might seem far away, now is the time to register and to plan your GKAS program. CDA Lobby Day - Dentists at the Capitol
