CHP+/Medicaid, 12-month Continuous Care for Kids
Beginning March 1, children with Medicaid or CHP+ benefits will have continuous coverage for 12 months, even if their family's income or household size changes. Continuous coverage can greatly streamline eligibility checks for providers. Click here to read more. |
Adult Medicaid Benefit Live on April 1
On April 1, Colorado's limited adult Medicaid benefit will be available. The adult dental benefit will allow Medicaid enrolled clients, age 21 years and over, to receive basic dental services currently offered to children such as evaluations, diagnostic imaging, preventive and restorative services. Has Your Dental License Expired?
If you have not done so, remember to renew your state dental license. All Colorado dentist/dental hygienist licenses expired on Feb. 28, 2014. Dentists and dental hygienists are not permitted to practice dentistry without a current license. Renewal process is administered by DORA. Questions should be directed to 303-894-2984. Pedo Connect
The Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has created a program to make it easier for dentists and hygienists in dental health professional shortage areas to communicate with a pediatric dentist. This program is called Pedo Connect. Its goal is to ensure that all children in Colorado, no matter of their location, have access to oral healthcare. Click here to read more.

200 Attend CU's Lunch & Learn On Feb. 19, nearly 200 CU dental students came out to have burritos and learn about organized dentistry from members of the CDA New Dentist Committee. NDC Invades Breckenridge March 7-9, the CDA New Dentist Committee organized the first annual ski weekend for Colorado new dentists. The weekend was packed with great snow, après ski fun and networking with old and new colleagues. New dentists are those 10 years and less out of dental school.
