Starting next year, the laws that govern the practice of dentistry, known as the Colorado Dental Practice Law, will undergo a complete review by the state legislature. The CDA worked during the 2013 legislative session to improve Medicaid for participating dentists. As of July 1, Medicaid reimbursement rates for dentists increased by 4.5%. This rate increase was a substantial victory for dentists who have seen disproportionate cuts in their Medicaid provider rates through the years.
