A. Finkl & Sons and Nucor Corp. 'Step Up' for Forging Foundation |
The FIA Fall Meeting of Members theme of 'Looking to the Future' was an appropriate setting to recognize two FIA Members that are doing just that through their support of the Forging Industry Educational and Research Foundation.
Many thanks to A. Finkl & Sons Co. for stepping up their long term support of the Foundation to the Platinum Anvil level and Nucor Corp. for stepping up to the Gold Anvil level.
FIERF President Rob Mayer, Queen City Forge (second from the left) made the presentation of the Anvils to Eric Nystrom of Nucor Steel Memphis (on the left) and Tim Nealt and Al Underys of A. Finkl & Sons Co. (respectively on the right). Thank you for making a difference to the future of the forging industry!

Over 100 Attendees Enjoy Fall Meeting Success;Slides/Photos Available |
Referred to as "a great conference" by many, over 100 forging company and supplier executives and their technical and/or marketing staff met in downtown San Antonio for the FIA Fall Meeting, October 21-23. Post-meeting evaluations indicated a 97% "good to excellent" approval rating for meeting content and a 100% rating for location.
All speakers that had PowerPoint slides have generously offered to share them with FIA Members. Click here to view them and the list of topics covered at the meeting. Click Here to see photos from the meeting. With perfect weather in place, attendees enjoyed the Riverwalk and all its activities. But the social highlight of the event was an outdoor rooftop banquet Tuesday evening at sunset overlooking San Antonio's gem -- The Alamo.
We hope to see all again at the FIA Annual Meeting May 3-5, 2014 in Marco Island, FL.
