I want to share with you a recent story of how your support has helped CSNC continue our life saving work in 2014.
This is "Chanel" Rodgriguez, a sweet, loving Cairn Terrier mix. Her owner, Ana, called us last month, devastated after being told her beloved companion of 8 years. would be dead in 2 to 3 days without emergency surgery.
A spay would be her only chance at life...
As Chanel's condition worsened, Ana and her 2 young daughters, were terrified. You see, Ana could not afford the $2500 quoted to spay Chanel so she would either have to put Chanel down or watch her die.
You can imagine Ana's relief when we told her CSNC could perform the same surgery for under $150! We put Chanel on our schedule and spayed her the very next day.
We are delighted to report Chanel has fully recovered, is doing great and The Rodriguez family could not be happier to have her with them to celebrate this holiday season!!
With Chanel in mind, we felt compelled to share with you 3 things we feel are really at the heart of what we do here at CSNC:
1) End unnecessary euthanasia of homeless pets. 45% fewer cats & dogs were put down in 2014 at our county shelter compared to just before CSNC opened in 2009!!
2) Provide quality, low cost & free spay/neuter services. We've spayed & neutered 15,000 so far, preventing more than 90,000 unwanted pet births!
3) Expand our services to help more in 2015. This year we performed nearly 3000 surgeries. With your help, we will surpass 4000 spays/neuters for the New Year!!More than ever, we remain focused on solving pet overpopulation and hope you will join us in being part of the solution.
