Kingdom Reminders (1 of 5)
We beg your PARDON!!!
No, we're not anyone's puppet!
We are grown, over 21 and in charge of the decisions for our lives!
We declare our freedom from anyone attempting to control our lives and "proclaim" we have the ability to make "wise" decisions.
More than we would like to admit it, this mentality and definitely the spirit behind it describe the on-going battle between good and evil in our minds.
We learn we don't have the authority over our lives as we think we do.
This reality is usually the first juvenile dream killer as one crosses into adult life.
We find that the song we sang throughout growing up in our parents' homes; "I can't wait until I'm grown and can do whatever I want" is definitely not the reality.

Kingdom Reminders !!!!! (2 of 5)
We discover we are still subject to authority.
This includes to employers, spouses, law enforcement agents, our mortgage holders, signal lights, IRS and the list is endless!
In addition, if that is our mentality, then it is likely that we are NOT as submitted to God as we believe or should be.
Either the Lord Jesus or Satan controls our actions.
If we are honest, we will admit that our carnal nature is alive and actively warring against our spiritual man.
This is why as followers of Jesus Christ we must often be reminded of 1 Cor. 6:19 (NIV)- Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
20-you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.
This means that our thoughts and actions can't be like the world's mentality.

We cannot allow pride, envy, hatred, mean-spirits, or not being compassionate, loving and kind describe us
when we become Kingdom People!
When God prompts us to apologize, give encouraging words, a smile or hug when we would rather not, we
MUST submit ourselves and do so, no matter if it is received or rejected.
We must be committed to walk in obedience to God's desires.
Even though we might have made the decision to follow Jesus a long time ago,
a constant "Kingdom Reminder" must be Mark 8:34-"Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
We must deny ourselves of any disobedient behavior, which is definitely contrary to how Christ would think or act.

We must deny ourselves of making decisions for our lives, and focus on God's decisions for our lives.
We must remind ourselves of: Prov. 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
6--Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.
7--Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Matt. 5:16-We must be determined to let our lights shine before others, that they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven.
Yes, our testimony must also be as described in 2 Cor. 8:21-For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.
This is why we must constantly hear and yield ourselves to the Word of God for it pleads with us,
encourages us, and urges us to live our lives in a way that God would consider worthy.

1 Thess. 2:12-NLT For He called you to share in His Kingdom and glory.
1 Pet. 2:12-NLT- Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse
you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when He judges the world.
1 Cor. 9:25-NIV- Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a
crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
26-NLT- - So I run with purpose in every step.
27- I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.
Yes, it is worthwhile ensuring that our minds, bodies and spirits bow in obedience to the glory of God.
Yes, daily, it is worthwhile dying to self and showcasing Kingdom living.
Let us be reminded of Prov. 3:3-Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
4-Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
