Daily, distractions seek our attention.  

We might be thinking about something very important, only to have a foreign thought arise out of seemingly nowhere. 

We can be engaged in one project, but then began doing something else. 

Therefore, to be and stay productive in life, both in general and definitely in completing the mandates which Daddy God has 

               assigned for our lives, our attention must be
 "Determined and Focused."

We can't allow anything to distract us. 

We must remember that just as we have the Heavenly Host cheering us on to completion of our God-given assignments, we also have the 

             Gates of Hell attempting to make sure we don't           complete our missions. 

One of our greater challenges is not being distracted from remembering God-established and unchangeable truths. 

           1) Individually, we were lovingly and purposely created by God. 

        2) Daddy-God has designed and given us specific gifts, talents and missions.  

          3) Through His Word, Spirit, Leaders, experiences in life, etc.,

Daddy-God equips us for the specific assignment given to us and ensures that we can be effective in accomplishing His assignments.

Not surprisingly, there are false and erroneous lies which Satan uses to distract us: 

        1) We are only here because we were conceived by our parents.

             2) Because of the wrongs and mistakes which we have made, Satan's challenging question to us is how could we EVER THINK that

           we could be given important roles in God's Kingdom as other persons? 
                  Thus, distracting us from being obedient and productive in doing what we should be and valuing our opportunities. 

             3) Even if we have the nerves to believe we have been gifted and assigned, we are not and never will be able to be 
 
        successful in performing those roles.

We are bombarded to focus on the list of lies which the prince of darkness uses to describe us in his attempt to hinder our 

        effectiveness against his kingdom.  

None of us are exempted from the enemy's attempt to distract and discourage us.

Isn't it amazing how we applaud and acknowledge the good which others accomplish in their lives, but are unable to celebrate our 

       own accomplishments or hear the praise of others of how our "actions" are positively impacting their lives? 

As the teacher used to say" Keep your eyes on your own paper" and not on your neighbor's paper.  

In other words, don't compare your accomplishments with others.  

But rather stay "Determined and Focused" that you do have abilities. Faithfully, maximize using your abilities.

We can almost measure the effectiveness of our potential and accomplishments by the degree and intensity of Satan's attempt to 

           distract and discourage us.  

But the question is "Whose description of you will you believe"???  

It is for our benefit and good to believe the description of the Lord.  

Bible I Believe It!


No matter what false or evil statements have been used to describe you, continue to believe the truth of the Lord.  

Often remind yourself that as a Christian, Believer and Receiver of the sacrifice of Christ, that you belong to the Lord who loves you and 

            extends to you the power to be pleasing to Him.  

Remind yourself that you are a unique, one of a kind, DESIGNER'S ORIGINAL. 

Speak life and encouragement to yourself.

Be determined to keep Daddy-God's truth of you in the forefront of your mind.  

Also, as being Kingdom people, let us the more strive to be encouragers of one another. 

Let's also be concerned that each of our brothers and sisters realize their value.

Since it has been NOTHING BUT God's grace which saved, forgave and cleansed each of us from the penalty of sin and a destined eternal

        torture in hell, let's definitely don't do or say anything that would imply our worth being more than others.  

Let's be reminded that neither must we exalt ourselves above those persons who have not yet come to the Light of Jesus. 

You are somebody in the Lord. 

Walk in who you are and whose you are-in Jesus'-mighty name.  

Stay "Determined and Focused"!

Hey Dr. Lewis: Thanks for the wonderful words for the week. Something to really think about and to take to heart! Yes I really want to do the will of the Lord and for Him to make and keep me whole.  I love the Lord with all my heart and want to always do His will.  As Bishop Jakes said some people don't want to come up and be whole in the Lord, they think they are fine right where they are but I am not one of those, I want to be whole.

Amen! Oh God, bless your Holy name. Glorify your Holy nane!!! When you mentioned "God the Holy Spirit helping us find our keys..." It reminded me of what Bishop T.D. Jake's said on TV regarding the Holy Spirit. He said that he couldn't believe who ask the Holy Spirit to help them pick the right neck tie color. Bishop Jakes said, he did not believe that the Holy Spirit has time for such a small task.. My argument today, will be that Bishop Jakes was much younger at the time. Younger in age, and younger in ministry. I pray and hope that he would not say that today. By that I mean, he must have grown a little more mature. I am hoping in my own humble that I would to depend entirely on the Holy Spirit of God, to be in my life totally, and to guide me in every area of my life. Thanks for the message.
