The Importance of Reflecting!       (2 of 5)

When we are in severe and helpless situations, we cry out to Daddy-God. 

We also vow that we will NEVER FORGET all that God does for us.  

Nevertheless, as time goes on and our crisis passes, His miraculous interventions fade in our minds.  

We sometimes relax in our passion of praise and honor of Him.  

When this happens, it is easy for us to accept the lies of Satan that it was us, our smartness, our connections, us, us, us who brought forth the deliverance in our lives. 

In various degrees and subtle ways, each of us Christians must monitor ourselves from taking on these ungodly attitudes. 

Because of these ungrateful and even disrespectful attitudes, Daddy-God has to remind us of "Whom" it was and what was done to deliver us from our cries. 

Such was the case with His Israelites in 

          Micah 6:4-NET Bible-In fact, I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I delivered you from that place of slavery. I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to lead you. 

           5-New Living Translation-Don't you remember, my people, how King Balak of Moab tried to have you cursed and how Balaam son of Beor blessed you instead? (Numbers 22) 

            And remember your journey from Acacia Grove to Gilgal, (Shittim to Gilgal), when I, the LORD, did everything I could to teach you about my faithfulness."  

In their case as in our case, God's involvement many times results from our pleas to Him.  

Thus, Daddy-God delivered them from the mighty Pharaoh's enslavement.  

Instead of just telling them to go find the Promised Land, God Himself, sent leaders to take them by the hand and lead them to His land flowing with milk and honey.

Daddy-God overruled King Balaak and had them blessed instead of cursed.  

Daddy-God also gave them a front row-seat in Shittim to view the impossible and without a miracle, the un-crossable river that stood 

              between them and the other side, especially since it was at its HIGHEST level during flood time.  

Then, Daddy-God gave them a seat on the other side of the river that He miraculous enabled them to cross over on dry land.  

This allowed them to reflect on and settle within their minds, the mighty miracle of crossing over on dry land, which ONLY GOD could perform.  

Daddy-God knew that when this crisis had passed that the people would forget the impact of what He had done which is one reason He                  

                    told them, to remember how He, the LORD, did everything He could to teach them about His faithfulness". 

All of our miraculous deliverances, assistance and blessings have been to teach us about Daddy-God's faithfulness and to give us reasons to serve and honor Him.  

Reflecting on what we have experienced, suffered, our times of tears and pain and where we are today, aids us in remembering His many faithful acts and just how good God has been to us. 

God's righteous acts are also displayed in our lives when He tells us no, not now or never. 

Deut.10; 21- He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.  

Therefore, let us make sure that we regularly reflect on what Daddy has done for us. 

Notating our God-experiences in a Praise Journal is one way to aid us in remembering. God bless.
