Christians are in the world even though we are not of the world.  


 

We must allow the Spirit of God to dictate how we live, talk and the actions that we do. God's Word must be constantly demonstrated through our lives.

Romans 12:2- NLT -Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world,                     but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  


 

We can testify that when we seriously yield our hearts and minds to the Lord Jesus, a great change does occur in our hearts and minds. 


 

Daddy-God understands the challenges that we experience in this world. 


 

However, because Daddy-God offers us the power to resist, He doesn't excuse the yielding to our challenges.

Our flesh will never cooperate in making it easy to obey God's Word. 


 

However, by God's power, we really are empowered to resist the desires of the flesh. 


 

We find ourselves desiring to please Him and asking Him to help us to obey Him, no matter the cost.

We begin to humble ourselves before God and others!  


 

This includes thinking ill of others and how we treat each other.  


 

We learn and practice to keep our mouths closed when what we could say does not edify or enrich the lives of others. 


 

We learn that we must continuously do self-checks to ensure that we are in line with God's heart.  


 

The Word of God deals with our challenges. 


 

It addresses our true "worldly" feelings and desires which is opposite of His desire for how we should act.

Daddy-God already knows if He doesn't give us direction, that we would allow worldly mindsets and fleshly reasoning to dictate our behavior. 


 

Therefore, in addition to God's Word which is filled with the assurances of His presence and power being available to us; it is also filled with direction as to how we are to apply those assurances in our lives.

We experience how God's power has actually transformed our behavior when we encounter hostile situations and relationships. 


 

Because of misunderstandings due to us being offended by others' words or deeds and/or how we unfairly view or over-rate our own selves etc., conflicts, disagreements and friction occurs. 


 

It begins so small that many times we are not aware of the discord that is beginning to grow in our hearts.

Yes, sometimes we really are guilty of Romans 12:3-... I give each of you this warning: Don't think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves. 


 

Thus, we choose to overlook seeds of discord that begins to take root in our hearts.

We say, oh no, I'm above that, when actually we are being deceived with our eyes wide open.  

 

This is why we are instructed in Romans 12:17-NLT-Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.  


 

          18-  Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

As Christians, yes, we will encounter people who we won't naturally flow in love toward them.

We must admit that for us to act lovingly toward them, we must confess it to Daddy-God. 

Then, we must allow His agape-love to reach out to them through our hearts. 

Yes, we learn that we must submit and obey Daddy-God's wishes if we are going to be well-pleasing to Him.

Good morning and afternoon Family. On today I sent my second cousin so many of your post Pamela Towns, Dr Tonya Lewis, Sonya Griffin just to name a few because she is battling with heroin addiction. She lives in Minnesota and is just out there. I have and will continue to pray for her. I know she has to be sick and tired if the madness. I have never met her face to face but we are blood related. So this one, Dawnmarie i proclaim her deliverance salvation and a relationship with Abba Father. You know me i will not give up until the miracle has been fulfilled. Please pray with me. Have not heard from her this week. Thanks family.  L P

Keep sending these articles.  I enjoy the reading and the inspiration that comes from them.  When are you going to have a book done. titled 'The 1st lady of the Gosspel -  Dr. Tonya Lewis'  -- thought I would help out with the book title.  By the way Happy Birthday.  I know it was the 14th, I just had some over powering issues to deal with.  But I never forget you in this month because we were born 10 days apart and many years apart with me being the young one (:  ....LOL !!!   Love You Lot and Love you more    God Bless you.  M W

Subject: Re: We Better Be Terrified!!!      Hey Dr. Lewis:      Thanks for the wonderful words of wisdom for this week!  This is so very true!  WE BETTER BE TERRIFIED!!!!!!!  I hear people say God is love and He won't hurt me, He understands I am just a person and I have needs.  Well I know that God is love but He is also a God of Wrath and as you have said, we better do what He says!  It is for our own good that we do what He says, He know what is best for us we don't know.  I look at it like I looked at my children. I did not let them disobey me when they were coming up and if they did they would get the belt. Even now that they are grown I don't tolerate that.  So just as our own children had to obey us we must obey our Father in Heaven.  Thanks again!  Love you lot's! Evangelist L V
