No matter our names or where we were born, privileges we were or were not born with, each of us has a reputation and character that truly define our being. 


 

The deeds we do, words we say, our experiences and the way we think, are some of the components, which establishes our "Well-Known As" character.

One may never walk the Academy Awards' Red Carpet, yet each day we are in the spotlight and do walk the Red Carpet of Life before God and others.  


 

As Hollywood-celebrities are well-known for their talent and performances, so are we well-known for what we do.  


 

Therefore, our subject, "You Are Well-Known As ....." is meant to trigger our thoughts and provoke self-examination. 


 

Well-Known is defined as being famous, celebrated, familiar, and distinguished as...

Some persons are well-known as being kind and compassionate persons while others are well-known as being mean and selfish individuals. 

 

Some persons are well-known as being encouragers and supporters; others are well-known as being discouragers, haters and non-supporters.

Some people's character demonstrate Gal. 5:22,23-the Fruit of God's Spirit-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 

                   gentleness, and self-control. 

 

Other people demonstrate Gal. 5:19- sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 

 

       20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 

 

         21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.

Even though we spend a lot of time trying to hide our negative flaws, we really can't hide them. 


 

It has been said, "A person's actions will tell you everything you need to know about them-pay attention" (M. Baisden).

Through our actions, people really do see the "Real Deal" of who we are publically and privately. 

 

We must remember that there are many avenues available to assist us in becoming who we really want to be well-known as...

There are people who do care and will extend the spirit of love and helpfulness to us. 

 

This is especially true for Christians, for we are constantly reminded of God's great love for us and the helpfulness He provides to us. 

 

Jesus loves you


 

Except for situations where persons are emotionally or developmentally challenged, we are responsible for what we are well-known as... 

 

Deciding to take control of our lives with the help and direction of Daddy-God, eliminating excuses of why we negatively or unhealthily 

 

              act as we do, stop living in the past and focusing on things, which we can't change or control, are just some of the dynamics 

 

           which will enhance and develop us into being persons well-known as having outstanding characters.

Most persons desire to be Well-Known as being positive, honest, loving, trust-worthy, loyal, true, etc., but in order to do that, 

                     we must work on developing them on a continuous basis in our lives.

It is not going to"just happen" just as there will not be a harvest without first planting seeds.


 

Jesus Christ is well-known for His unwavering and sacrificial love. He is well-known for His mercy, grace and forgiveness.  

 

Let us allow Christ's character and what He is well-known as to become our character and what we are well-known as...  

 

Then we will be well-received by both God and man.  God bless you and yours!
