             Don't Linger in Seeking...      (1 of 5)

     

       

Each of us experiences the challenge of determining proper time frames. 


 

Sometimes we don't invest enough time and other times we invest too much time. 


 

We mean well by going to visit the sick or bereaved, however we sit and sit and sit...and overstay our welcome.

We linger too long and hinder them from resting or from their needed attention to other matters. 


 

We linger too long enduring toxic relationships, which eventually negatively affects our total being.  


 

We linger too long on certain jobs or with various involvements. 


 

Lingering in the wrong locations hinders our arrival to the right locations that would yield us the joy, success and peace we are seeking in the wrong locations. 


 

We miss our windows of opportunity by lingering longer than we should.

Unfortunately, instead of embracing our blessings and moving on, sometimes we lose our blessings by lingering too long and not leaving. 


 

Those bright ideas, amazing dreams, and promising careers will never mature and come to fruition because we linger too long at the corners of fear and doubt.

While each of us will pass those corners, we can't stop and linger there, for their seeds will soon take root in our hearts and hinder us from ever achieving our possibilities. 


 

We don't want to become comfort in environments which blessings can't blossom and manifest. 


 

Our physical safety and mental wellness are impacted when we linger too long in unhealthy involvements.  


 

Too often, we linger where we should not and become victim to or involved in the trouble lurking there. 


 

Lingering too long with certain individuals or in dangerous locations will yield and validate the lesson that we should have listened to wise counsel

When we are seen lingering too long in situations, which we should not, or delaying in doing what we should be doing, we are giving unhealthy impressions to our children and others who follow our example. 

However, there is help to assist us in successfully and fruitfully walking the path of life.

Believe it or not, there really are people wiser than we are, who have learned either with maturity or experienced what would be the wiser choices.  

Ecc. 1:9- GWT-Whatever has happened before will happen [again]. Whatever has been done before will be done [again]. There is nothing new under the sun. 

      That means there are countless others who have walked the path we now walk and we can learn from them.  

From observation and study we find out what are good ideas and which ones are not.

We find the greatest Source of Direction in 
 
                 James 1:5- NLT-If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 


                     6-NLT- But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waiver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 


                  7- Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 

God is Speaking- Are U Listening?

Proverbs 2:


 

      1 NLT-My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. 

 

 

      2 Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.


 

      3 Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. 


 

     4 Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. 


 

    5  Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. 


 

     6 For the LORD grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. 


 

    7 He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.

Proverbs 2:
 
   8 He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to Him. 

   9 Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.

   10 For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. 

  11 Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe.

  12 Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted.

So, we can't linger in seeking Daddy-God's wisdom for our lives. 

We will learn foundational principles in His Word, which will direct us in every area of our lives! 

With His guidance, we will walk in wisdom and experience the awesome blessings of His glorious plan for our lives! 

However, that will only happen as we bow our minds, hearts, thoughts, words and actions at the foot of His throne! 

Thank you Lord for being willing to lead and guide us! We love you Lord Jesus!

You see a lot of us lingering around. We'll just stand there on the edge of the pool and kinda psych ourselves up into getting in.

God will make right all that is wrong, He will take away the lingering effect of sin and what's not right in our lives. He knows how painful life in this world can be.
