It Is Not Just For You! (1 of 5)
On various levels, we experience favor, grace, love, acceptance, respect, trust, and the list is endless.
Yes, we've been blessed and should not take it lightly that God has blessed us to be receivers.
In addition, how we live our lives and establish our reputations and how others perceive us all contribute to the degree of the benefits we experience.
The Bible constantly reminds us of the benefits of having a good name:
Ecclesiastes 7:1- NLT--A good reputation is more valuable than costly perfume.
ESV--A good name is better than precious ointment... Proverbs 22:1- NLT-Choose a good reputation over great riches...
We do not reflect on the value of establishing a good name or reputation as we yield to temptation.
Satan omits that detail in his suggestion of temptations and he bombards us to only considering the momentary pleasure from yielding.

However, it is crucial that we establish and maintain a credible name and reputation because they affect every dimension of our lives.
Our manner of speech, consideration of others, character, degree of integrity, personal grooming, financial, criminal, professional ethics and actions, etc. all make up our reputations.
There are those persons who could care less about living in a respectable manner.
There are others who do come to themselves and desire a turn-around in their lives.
After facing the reality of unwise actions, we come to realize the value of establishing and protecting good names and reputations.
However, unwise past actions for the most part do not disappear from our history.
Since the idea of change and reestablishing one's name in a new and positive light is new for them, society and others will only have one's past to govern their present interactions.

It Is Not Just For You! (3 of 5)
Thank God that each new day is a new opportunity to experience new mercies and to reestablish our lives and create a positive history from that point.
We are afforded the opportunity to eventually replace the current tainted past.
In re-establishing oneself, assistance from others is necessary.
Our title "It is Not Just For You!" reminds us that our forenamed blessings are not just for us, but also for others.
Family members and close friends who we sense are sincere in trying to reestablish their reputations will need our assistance.
Therefore, whatever platform of influence and assistance we can beneficially contribute, we should be willing to do so.
Of course, we must use prayer, wisdom and common sense in what we do, but the point is that we should be willing to do what we can.
That might include speaking a word of grace and opportunity on their behalf, introducing them to your associates or offering to provide transportation for them, etc.

It Is Not Just For You! (4 of 5)
While it does take a village to raise our children, it also takes a village of people willing to help others to better the over-all village. Once again, this village might be the relationship of family or friends. 
It is important that we are prayerful in whatever we do for neither do we desire to become enablers: empowering one to continue going in a negative direction. We must not act like our current day of blessings will ALWAYS BE our experience because life is subject to change at any moment and the tables could change. Yes, we could find ourselves in need of assistance from others. Therefore, we must never be high-minded and lifted up with pride. We must remain humble and thankful of God's grace experienced in our lives. We can never say, "That will not happen to us" or "we would never do or allow ourselves to get to that state". Each day is only by the grace of God.

It Is Not Just For You! (5 OF 5)
Each benefit and opportunity we experience is only the blessing of the Lord.
However, it was not given for our own exclusive enjoyment.
Let us not force God to remove His hand of protection and blessing from our lives due to us being prideful, selfish and self-centered.
Let us not force Him to change and soften our hearts through experiencing the agony of what others suffer.
By our actions, let's do all that we can individually to remain the head and not tail, the lender and not the borrower.
Remember you are blessed, however "It Is Not Just For You! but it is to lend a helping hand, a word of encouragement and extend acts of grace in and for the lives of others! God bless!!!
