Within Your Own Generation! (1 of 5)
Some powerful, valuable, and major Biblical personalities include Moses, Joshua, David, Paul, Peter, Deborah, the Virgin Mary and even Jesus.
Each one of them accomplished their role in God's plan during their generation.
However, the question is where are they now?
This is not to second-guess their eternal destination, because more than likely they are resting in the arms of the Father.
But the rhetorical question is meant to imply that no matter how great they were or performed or contributed to history; they are no longer here on earth, but gone.
This truth reminds us that none of us lives forever in this present state on earth.
Each of us has a God-given assignment to perform within a certain period, and then we are to pass the mantle to the on-coming generations.

Within Your Own Generation! ( 2 of 5)
Acts 13:36-International Standard Version-Now David, after he had served God's purpose in his own generation, died and was buried with his ancestors, and so he experienced decay.
This implies that after he had done the work within his generation which was appointed and cut out for him; he died by the decree and counsel of God.
"This set bounds to man's life, and has fixed the time of his death; no man dies before, or lives longer than the time of God's will.
David lived according to the will of God's command, and he died by the will of his decree." (Gill)
Ultimately, David chose to serve God's purpose. He chose to seek the heart and ways of Daddy-God.
He chose to be obedient even during times when he would have desired otherwise.
David experienced the punishment of God for his times of disobedience, as he also experienced the blessings of God for his obedience

Within Your Own Generation! (3 of 5)
Although, the legacy of our living will live on long after we are gone, our actual work and how we will be remembered will be done in
our own generation, meaning our allotted time on earth.
It is a fact-that each of us will leave this present life via the Rapture or through death-but the bottom-line is; we will leave here.
We will be buried with our ancestors and our mortal bodies will experience decay.
This is why we cannot allow the wrong issues to have our attention; for it all will be left behind and fade from memory.
Rather, we must focus on leaving the correct legacy behind, so that our memory will continue to live on in a positive light in future generations.
Unlike the memory of Hitler or other individuals who worked within their generation, (within their allotted earthly time), but not in a positive manner.
These events cause us to shake our heads in disbelief or express our verbal displeasure because of how certain individuals chose to spend their allotted time.

A Generational Curse is a continual negative pattern of something handed down from generation to generation. (Robert L)
"The effects of sin naturally are passed down from one generation to the next.
When a father has a sinful lifestyle, his children are likely to practice the same sinful lifestyle.
Implied in the warning of Exodus 20:5, is the fact that the children will choose to repeat the sins of their fathers. (John Owen)
If we submit our ways unto the Lord's ways, then during our allocation of time on earth, we will have the awesome opportunity to stop generational curses from continuing through our actions.
We can so live and influence our next generation and give Daddy-God something positive to work with in their lives.
2 Samuel 7:12-English Standard Version--When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

Within Your Own Generation! (5 OF 5)
Realize that you will not live forever.
Realize that we must be about our father's business while it is day; while we have the opportunity.
Realize that no matter how great and valuable you are in your generation; the world will keep revolving and functioning even after your departure.
Realize that not only should we pass on good works, but also an honorable lifestyle that it may influence our future generations. God bless!

He is always there and will let you know it even when you are in the storm!
