"Maintaining Our Spiritual Strength"

"Maintaining Our Spiritual Strength" (1 OF 5)
So that God will be glorified in the world, the "Body of Christ" must be spiritually strong, Overcomers and victorious in our lifestyles
by resisting the influence of Satan!
The question was recently asked: How Does One Maintain Spiritual Strength Day In and Day Out?
It will do us all well to reflect on the following response.
It has to be a lifestyle; meaning being Christ-like day in and day out and not just on Sundays or in front of others.
It means submitting to God's Word even when it is very difficult to do so!
This includes shutting our mouths when the preferred choice would be to "go off" and to be brutally direct with others and choosing not
to think unloving thoughts about others.

"Maintaining Our Spiritual Strength (2 of 5)
Also, refusing to follow the dictates of our fleshly nature and satisfying it at any cost.
As well as maturing in learning to keep one's body under subjection to the Spirit of God!
As long as we are on this side of Heaven, it is a continuous effort, 24 hours a day, in public and private to make godly choices,
remembering that the Spirit of God sees us all the time.
1 Peter 3:12- NLT- The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and His ears are open to their prayers.
But the Lord turns His face against those who do evil."
"Maintaining Our Spiritual Strength" comes from fellow-shipping throughout the day with the Lord;
praying (which is talking to Him) either outwardly or inwardly saying "Thank you Jesus" or "Lord, please lead me" or Lord "Please help me".
|
"Maintaining Our Spiritual Strength" (3 of 5)
Sharing our hearts and minds with Him since Daddy-God already knows anyway.
Becoming God-sensitive is attributing our good experiences as blessings from Him rather than calling it being lucky.
Choosing to trust Daddy-God even when others have offended us and in spite of our tears and challenging times.
Looking above all distractions and yet electing to trust Him and to believe in His love for us.
For those of us who have walked with the Lord for many years, we should be beyond the stage of asking Daddy-God to prove Himself and to verify if He is real to us.
Yes, there will be times when we won't be able to discern God's presence with us and it will seem as if He has left us.

"Maintaining Our Spiritual Strength"
(4 of 5)
In addition, there will be taunts from Satan trying to convince us that God doesn't care about us.
However, during those times, we must reflect on His Word and know by faith that we can yet trust Him based on the MANY EXPERIENCES
we have already had of His faithfulness and goodness.
Our spiritual strength is also fortified as a result of reading His Word daily and growing more and more in intimacy with the Lord.
Being a doer and not a hearer only of God's Word develops our strength and faith.
When we do the things which we can do, the "Door of Invitation" is opened to the Spirit of God to help us to do what we cannot do to
"Maintain Our Spiritual Strength".

"Maintaining Our Spiritual Strength" (5 of 5)
Moreover, we are assured by the death of Jesus on the cross and His Resurrection from the dead that He will enable us to rise from
the dead issues of our lives.
One might think that it is more challenging to live for God in prison and other such places.
However, that is not true because the forces of sin, Satan and evil are everywhere.
But, we must remember that even greater is the power and forces of our God in us and around us.1 John 4:4b
NLT- the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
Family, only by "Maintaining Our Spiritual Strength" will God be glorified, we will be edified and Satan will be horrified.
We must do so!
We must do so!
We must do so!

Words from the Heart!
Dr. Tonya Lewis,
OMG! Thank you so much for these words of wisdom. You don't know just how much I needed this affirmation. I have been battling with body pain from fibromyalgia and arthritis, and I have been tempted to close up my company and quit. I keep telling myself that I can't quit; because when God gave me this vision, I was full of faith. I stepped out and began doing everything He inspired me to do. It has been 29 years now, and I know I have to keep walking in faith--Step By Step. Dr. Lewis. I can't tell you how much your ministry has helped me. God bless you richly. You and your Board have planted a great victory harvest into many souls. Much love and appreciation. M W
Hey Dr. Lewis:
You are so very welcome from our hearts. I am so happy you had a wonderful Birthday and hope you have many, many more to come! You go on and preach my sister! I enjoyed the message very much and of course the music! Thank you for being a blessing in my life and my husband's. We love you and are praying for you and yours always. Thanks for the words of wisdom for the week. Step by Step: Lord, help us your children to press on toward the mark! Make us to be the men and women that you would have us to be, with our eyes stayed on you as we step up higher and higher. Thanks again for sharing! Much love. Evangelist L V

The beginning of a friendship, the fact that two people out of the thousands around them can meet and connect and become friends, seems like a kind of magic to me. But maintaining a friendship requires work. I don't mean that as a bad thing. Good art requires work as well. Charles de Lint
