Ok! Come On and Refocus! (1 OF 5)
Distractions one right after the other and even several at the same time contributes to our challenge to focus and accomplish our assignments and goals.
If we do not maintain our focus on what we should be doing, we can easily become distracted and unaccomplished.
Distractions might include a lack of resources and us not seeing how they will materialize; procrastinating and then allowing it to take root and dictate our focus, having self-centered priorities which equals having wrong priorities.
Distractions also might be not working and operating in our proper lane of mandates; thus misapplying our energy and resources, leaving the areas which we could be productive in untouched; being fearful, lazy or having low self-esteem issues; not ignoring others who talk about us in attempts to discourage us from doing and especially if they are not being productive.

Ok! Come On and Refocus! (2 of 5)
When we realize that we have been distracted, we must get
ourselves together and refocus to accomplish our spiritual,
professional, relational, educational, financial, etc. goals.
Such was the case of the Israelites who were released from the
Babylonian captivity to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple.
They were successful in completing the laying of the foundation of
the Temple.
Then as they focused to continue rebuilding the Temple; they
encountered opposition from others.
Over time, they became distracted through discouragement and
fear.
Then, in lieu of building the Temple, they focused their energy and
resources on building luxurious homes for themselves.

True to human nature, when they became distracted from doing what they should have been doing, they as well as we will focus our attention in a disobedient direction.
Instead of moving toward completion of our original mandate, we focus elsewhere.
This is why we must maintain our "right" focus and ignore distractions.
There will definitely be times in life when we must refocus our attention to what is our original instruction and goal.
Because we do not know how many times God's grace of forgiveness and opportunity to "Refocus" will be extended to us;
we cannot take the present opportunity for granted.

Therefore, we thank the Lord for "rebuking" us when we are wrong!
The Lord gave the people a Word of rebuke and told them to
Consider Your Ways, Haggai 1:7.
He also gave them encouragement in Haggai 2:1:4-KJ- Yet now be
strong,...be strong, all ye people of the land, saith
the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts.
This meant to take heart or hold firmly in the resolve to which they
had committed themselves and to continue the work.
Nuggets we can gleam from this lesson;
1) Each of us has been given a mandate to accomplish various goals.
2) We cannot let anyone or anything distract us.

Nuggets we can gleam from this lesson (cont');
3) We are to reverence God rather than fear man.
4) Know that God will provide the resources needed for us
to obey His command.
5) God is with us to enable us to accomplish our
assignments.
6) The people had God's divine protection covering them
while they obeyed His mandate.
7) The people needed to be faithful to complete the work
which God had called them to do.
When you find that you have become distracted, "Ok, Come on and
Refocus"!
If you do, you may without hesitation embrace Daddy God's Word in
Haggai 1:8b-Then I will take pleasure in it and be
honored, says the LORD.
When the Lord takes pleasure in our actions; we will experience in
our lives, blessings upon blessings!
"Ok, Come on and Refocus"!
