YOU Are In the Spotlight! (1 OF 5)
A couple of popular sayings are "Talk is Cheap" and "I can't hear what you are saying for seeing what you're doing"!
We take offense when these sayings are used to describe our actions; especially when our objective has been to make great impressions!
However, if our objective has only been to impress rather than striving to be effective, then these sayings accurately describes our deeds.
When that is the case, then our deeds are externally-empty-prideful-self-centering-showy acts really aimed to bring glory to our names rather than to glorify God.
Our every moment, every encountering word and deed with others must be effective and positively impactful.
We do not have any time to waste or any opportunities to take lightly by not being serious about our Father's business.

YOU Are In the Spotlight! (2 of 5)
Just as Jesus was about His Father's business; so must we be also.
We should glorify our Heavenly Father in EVERYTHING!
Matthew 5: 14- NLT-"You are the light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
(By submitting ourselves to Christ's Lordship, it automatically places us in a God-given and effective spotlight unlike the spotlight, which we attempt to gain by our own self-centered deeds).
15-No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
(Our Christian charge is to be "lights" and to spread Jesus' life-changing Light so that others will be able to "see" the need to and the way to make God-desired changes in their lives.
To succeed in our charge,we are to be the physical and earthly
displays of our Heavenly Father.
We must be the Bible seen and demonstrated on a daily basis.)

Matthew 5:16-In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father
(When we allow our Heavenly Father to lead and guide us, our deeds will be effective, impactful and impressive and clearly directing the attention of others to God.
We should walk, talk, think, encourage, do and love others as God does. )
"Yes, People" do notice how others speak to them!
"Yes, People" do note what one does for and what one does not do for them.
"Yes, People" notice if they feel love, concern and compassion or not in their exchanges with others.
"Yes, People," note how eagerly others are willing to or not to be inconvenienced for them.

"Yes, People" notice if others treat us we with loving-kindness, patience and grace or if these traits are nowhere to be found.
If people experience our good deeds, it silences their accusations that there is no God or that no positive changes have taken place in our lives.
"Yes, we will impress and affect people by our good deeds!
"Seeing your good works they may both praise God for sending such a religion into the world, and also, embracing your faith, may
imitate your holy example, or may be moved to love and serve God as you do, and thereby to glorify him." (Benson)

Therefore, family let us stand in our rightful position as being lights in this darkened world.
Let us so live that others will note our lives and see our actions, and will not be able to indict us for any wrongdoing.
Let us live the Christian life, perform Christian roles of responsibilities and glorify Daddy-God through our lives!
God will help us to do so if we want to be obedient!!!!

Always a pleasure to read with a opportunity to gain insight. Call me spoiled but I do like the Old Testament references. It is non - negotiable, I agree and accept whole heartily that we should strive in Christ not in our selves to live the Christian life. God Bless You and Love You M W
