Dignity in Suffering!!!!

Volume 277        April 20, 2014

Dignity in Suffering     (1 OF 5)

Why me? It's not fair! I'm a good person! I go to church!

These are just some of the statements we use to plead our cases against having to suffer!

However, Daddy-God uses suffering situations to answer our prayers to make us more like Him and to develop our minds to be as the mind of Christ.

pain

When we are not experiencing the pressure of the process that it takes to manifest those prayers, we are fine.

But, once we are in the process of being molded into God's image as we have prayed to be, we cry out trying to rescind our prayers.

However, Daddy-God doesn't pay attention to our external cries to relieve us of the pain when the inner cry of our souls is to glorify Him.

It is like the doctor or dentist who ignores our immediate outcries when we go to them to eradicate everything which is hindering us from feeling or being our best.

Dignity in Suffering   (2 of 5)

Thus, Daddy God uses our times of suffering to develop our character.

This includes how we act when we suffer or are being buffeted with trials and hardships.

We are mandated to glorify Daddy-God and to act in the "Fruit of the Spirit" manner (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,

fruit

goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) to represent our "Kingdom Family' with Christian Dignity.

Dignity is self-respect (Kingdom respect), poise and distinction.

When we suffer, we can't be angry, bitter, mean and ungodly.

We can't act as though we are hopeless of being relieved and delivered sooner or later.

Dignity in Suffering   (3 of 5)

It is as the Dignity of Fasting in Matthew 6:16-"And when you fast, don't make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look

miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for

their fasting (suffering). I tell you the truth that is the only reward they will ever get.

17-But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,

18-Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Even though we might initially panic and cry from what we are experiencing; at some point there should be a different behavior.

We are to exercise faith knowing that we are not forsaken or forgotten by Daddy-God.

Even in suffering we must display "Kingdom Dignity" as Jesus displayed it on the cross.

If anyone had reason to feel rejected, deprived and to be angry with God and man, Jesus did.

However, Jesus never lost faith in the presence of God with Him as He continually talked to God in His 7 last statements on the cross.

Until we mature in the Lord, we will continuously be taught the lesson of Dignity and of exercising it.

Dignity in Suffering     (4 of 5)

1 Peter 3:14-But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it.

15-
but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; ..

16-
But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.

remembers

17-Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong!

1 Peter 4:1-So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude He had, and be ready to suffer, too.

1 Peter 4:19 So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for He will never fail you.

Philippians 1:29-For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.

Daddy-God is still expecting us to exercise faith, trust and to rest in Him.

Dignity in Suffering   (5 of 5)

Daddy-God is still requiring that we give Him praise and glory, not because of His need, but because He knows that it will help us in the midst of our suffering.

1 Thess. 5:18-
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus

     (
In every circumstance - in joy and in sorrow; for everything - for prosperity and for adversity; (Pulpit Comm.)

Girl Surrending to God

For the reason that all things work together for good to them that love God; every occurrence must be a subject of thankfulness.

For this is the will of God - That ye should be always happy; that ye should ever be in the spirit of prayer; and that

ye should profit by every occurrence in life.(Clark's Comm.)

Not for the pain we are experiencing, but rather for the good of what shall come after the pain.

No matter what, we are passing through suffering; for it shall come to pass.

There will be unspeakable joy either on this side or on the other side of Heaven; so we must act with Dignity like it is so.

Subject: Re: IT'S A LIE!!   Thanks Dr. T.  Good message. I agree that anything contrary to what Daddy God  has said is a lie. The truth will set you free but some people would rather believe a lie than truth. I got the newsletter just finished reading it. I am just full from reading all those letters from the guys. I praise and thank God for you and all you do. I love and respect you for all you do and pray they will always know the Lord and all of you . You all sure make a big difference in their lives. You encourage me to want to do more. How can I say thank you enough except to keep you lifted you up in prayer. You are Super and a busy woman of God. Much Blessing.  Love, R S

Hey Dr. Lewis: Thanks for the words of wisdom for today!  Oh, boy!  I tell you there are a lot of lies going around now a days!  You are right, if we don't get into the Word of God and find out the truth we will be messed up for sure.  Thanks again! L V

Hello Dr. Lewis, I just wanted to say first of all, thank you for your continued Blessing that you faithfully send us. They are so uplifting.  Love, Sis. P C

Hey Dr. Tonya, Great article, I see you went Old Testament this time.  I love the Old Testament, not because I teach it but because it shows so much of the character of man and God....man needs help (sorry but true).   I enjoyed it especially the indications of false prophets that did not teach the true Word of God to Israel and Judah during their spiritually dark periods.  We have that today ... right now...going on in the churches, the world has crept into the church and the true spirit of the Word is leaving.  They need to hear this message that you have sent in this article.  We need the truth spoken no matter what.  Great article!!!   Love ya M W
