The First and Last Time (1 of 5)
Rarely do we take seriously our encounters with people and the various experiences in our lives!
Our topic represents two significant times; the first and last time we encounter individuals or experiences.
The significance of those contacts is not often thought of beyond those moments.
We have no idea of the wholesome adventures and blessings which could come through those first encounters.
Blessings begin with first encounters.
|
|
The First and Last Time (2 of 5)
Then we begin the journey of adventure as we learn more about those persons.
Their significance and contributions to our lives are established through our on-going interaction with them.
It could be that we just met our new best friend, Pastor, employer, spouse, business associate, etc.
This is why we should value each opportunity of first encounters; by being kind, pleasant, friendly and optimistic; for we never know what or whom Daddy-God is sending our way.
|
The First and Last Time (3 of 5)
We must also be mindful of the other possibility; for some persons our first and last encounters will be during the same time.
We determine early on that the association with certain persons will be toxic.
Another consideration is our last time seeing a dear heart, a loved one, a great friend.
Yes, that last phone call, last laugh, last time hanging out together, that last saying or hearing "I love you".
How many times did we not know that it would be our last time being able to interact with them?
We take for granted that we will encounter them again.
We say the next time I see them I will do this and say that.....
However, life changes including death, determines otherwise.
|
The First and Last Time (4 of 5)
The next time we hear about them reveals the impossibility of our physical interaction with them; the news of their passing or disappearance, etc.
No longer will they be seen or their voices heard.
Then we say "If only I would have known it would be my last time" or "I wish I would have said, did, or expressed to them....."!
"Why did I do that or say that which I really did not mean, but was just hurt or angry at the time!"
Those final times rob us of the opportunity of correcting what really should not have happened in the first place.
The last time is so final, so finished, the absolute end!
Then, we wrestle with and have to overcome guilt, regret and sadness of not taking advantage of our opportunities!
|
The First and Last Time (5 of 5)
Thus, this reminds us to value each moment we share with one another and to treat each other as though it will be our last time interacting with them; for it just might be the last time!
We make plans but we are told in James 4:15-
What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that."
Therefore, value each moment!
Seize every opportunity!
Apologize, for give!
Tear down the walls of division.
Often express your love and appreciation!
Say I love you and mean it when you say it!
Don't take for granted that there will be another time; for there just might not be another time!
Treat each time as though it is last time!!
God bless!

Words from the Heart!
Hey Dr. Lewis:

Subject: Re: NO MATTER OUR LOCATION!! Dr. Lewis, Your newsletters are so inspiring. I have just completed reading no matter our location. I saw a lot of good nuggets which reminds me/us that no matter what the location, we are right where He has us to be for that time and He can and will use us for His Glory if we let Him. I have also enjoyed listening to the songs which are also uplifting. You are so innovative and just a beautiful Woman of God, always reaching out to be a blessing to others. Thank you so much and may God richly Bless you! Love, Evg, Dr/J L
Thank you beautiful Dr. T. This brought tears to me, so touching and good. It brought back greeting which I loved meeting and greeting the people. I learn so much from you. You said so much good. We must do what we must do where we are currently. God still has a mission for me. I feel I made a difference, sparked hope and joy when I was greeting. My time was up now. Another dear sister is President. She has more help than I did and can do more on the internet than I can. I believe and pray with the Lord's help it will be better than ever. This was really for me. Thank you. God knows what we need. S R
Subject: Re: Daddy's Deliberate Plan! Good morning Dr. Lewis:
I finally had a chance to read your weekly newsletter this morning. So many things spoke to my spirit. The theme message reminded me to have faith in the midst of my circumstances. I needed this reminder this morning. Sometimes life happens & it hits us deeply emotionally. Actually, I am leaking my wounds from being hurt emotionally by someone that is close to my heart. I've prayed about the situation & have given it to Daddy-God. I also loved the message about the elderly couple. Wow!! That is true love. It is encouraging to see marriages last & survive the storms of life. I personally can relate to that. It has not been a smooth sailing but I am hanging in there with Mr. P. Thank you so much for your love, kindness, and wonderful gift. I enjoy the weekly newsletters & look forward to receiving them. Love you. G J
