The Wounded Among Us (1 of 5)
There are people who have visible wounds; broken legs, bandaged heads, arms and feet.
Then, there are the emotionally wounded.
The state of our internal being will manifest in our external being and in our actions.

While submission to Jesus Christ and His Word will produce healing in one's mind and spirit; those who choose not to submit are
void of the healing He offers.
Because of our own childhood and current experiences, abuses of all kind, our self-centeredness, emotional lack, satanic attacks and
the like, it is difficult for us to give others what they need from us.

The Wounded Among Us (2 of 5)
Unfortunately, because of the pain in each of us, others who are wounded or ignored, unloved, disrespected are voided of concern and care.
Due to increased life pressures; we have many distressed people in the world and the number of the mentally challenged is increasing.
Each of us suffers in some form or another and are included in "The Wounded Among Us".
Sadly, instead of seeking the help needed; we learn how to mask our wounds and to appear as though all is well when actually it is not.
We often forget that even people in the Body of Christ who love the Lord and mean well, are still on the path of maturing and overcoming "issues" in their own lives.
|
The Wounded Among Us (3 of 5)
There is NOTHING WORSE THAN CHURCH-HURT; that is inflicted by those who themselves are wounded. As a result of being hurt, some people have left "The Faith"; turning their backs on Jesus.
However, we must be mindful of Romans 14:12-So then every
one of us shall give account of himself to God.
We must be so committed to the Lord and not allow anyone or anything to turn us around.
Because of these lifetime commitments, there will be Wounded Christians who are bandaged up; but yet determined to
hop, crawl, limp, drag and to do whatever it takes to honor their commitment to the Lord.

The Wounded Among Us (4 of 5)
Thanks be to the God of Psalms 147:3-NLT- He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
The Lord heals our wounds of guilt as well as our wounds of pain.
Because there are "The Wounded Among Us; we must adhere to
Romans 14:13-Let us not therefore judge one
another anymore: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in [his] brother's way.
We are also told in Mark 9:22-And whosoever shall offend one of [these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that
a millstone was hanged about his neck, and he was cast into the sea.

The Wounded Among Us (5 of 5)
Family, so that we won't be the wounded inflicting offenses on others, we must seek the Lord for
the healing of our wounded spirits.
We must seek the physical, mental and spiritual help needed to be made whole.
Because we have "The Wounded Among Us", we must exercise the
Fruit of the Spirit- love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: (Galatians 5:22,23).
We must use our gifts and talents to bless others and not to negatively affect them.
We must speak kind words, give pleasant smiles, encourage and sow wellness and wholeness to others so that
we will be a part of the healing process in the Body of Christ.

Words from the Heart!

Dr. Lewis that is one timely piece...bless you, love you!!!! R C
Thanks Dr. T. So thankful for the message and Scriptures you gave. I love it that you encourage and support so well. I have to encourage myself and you do a much better jobthan I do. Good nuggets you said: Bless yourself and embrace the Love that God has proven to you. God is super good.Much Love. J S Dr. Lewis: Good news letter as usual. I see your Celebration Photo show has been viewed many, many times and counting! WOW. Hey Dr. Lewis: This is so very true, I know I have a hard time thinking of myself as Special sometimes but we have to work at it and believe what the Father has to say about us. You are also right about the haters in the world they are out there and they know how to throw out hate! But we have to remember again what the Father says about us and learn to love ourselves in the Lord! Love this Word!you are always thinking of others- so sweet. I just love the song "Don't Give up " on the last newsletter "Kirt Franklin" and family. L V Thank you Dr. Tonya-What took you so long to get this to me. You know I enjoy listening to you tell it like it is! I will let you slide this time (smile). I will allow you to repent (smile). Very good subject, yes I listen to it. You teach it like God's Child. Thank you. M W Hello Dr. Lewis, Thanks for another spirit-filled and amazing newsletter. Thank you for blessing me (us) with wonderful current events, insightful messages and video clips, laughter, and wisdom. I made this reading my morning project today. There are so many interesting articles to read and videos to watch. I could not stop laughing at the bowling episodes (hahaha). I really enjoyed today's message, too. I am still learning to deal with haters. I am not very savvy in this area. I love people so much. Yet, I encounter haters in my path as well (as all of us do). I also find that I have haters in my own family. So, I am asking God to show me the best way to handle them. For now, I just pray for them. However, life happens and people are who they are. I am the one that needs a strategy to overcome this hurdle. I am in control of my reaction. Sometimes my reaction is not that pleasant because I internalize things. Thanks so much. Thank you, Dr. Lewis, for sharing more You Tube videos. Praise God! I love to watch them. Blessings to you---love you. Love you. J G Hi Dr. Lewis: Greetings and Blessings upon you this beautiful day that the Lord has made! I'm so sorry I miss Sunday school and greeting on Sunday that was not the plan.Carla told me how awesome the teaching was and how the Holy Spirit just poured out and use you! The message in your news letter is very good and the portion below is so encouraging and has blessed me today! I needed this in Jesus name! I thank the Lord for you and His amazing love. Luke 12:31- Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need. The Lord does not try to eliminate some people by giving a list of qualifications that can't be met by everyone. He does not say only those persons who are physically, emotionally or even spiritually "perfect" in the eyes of others qualify; but anyone who dares to submit to Him. Love and Hugs, E S
