Do You Always.............?
Volume 209 December 30, 2012
|
Greetings!,
Do You Always.....? (1 of 5) As humans, we find it is more convenient to be inconsistent than consistent in most of our endeavors.
If we could get away with it, we would rarely show up for work, the gym or school and then have the nerve to want the same results as those who are faithful. However, we have found to reap quality results it will dictate that we be consistent and faithful in our actions. Please click here for: I want to be faithful by Mark Grove |

Do You Always.....? (2 of 5)
This rationale helps us to understand a spiritual command found in
Ephesians 4:2---Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. (NLT)
To "Always be humble and gentle" means for it to consistently be our goal to be mindful of how our words and actions will
affect others and ourselves.
Be concerned with encouraging healing and growth in their lives.
Also, considering our own shortcomings rather than glaring at other people's faults and to remember that it is only by the grace of
God that He yet loves us as He loves them also.

Do You Always.....? (3 of 5)
We are told to "Be patient with each other".
This implies that whenever possible, we must for the sake of peace and love adjust our desires or expectations.
We must realize that due to various factors, beliefs, or experiences, people conduct themselves as they do.
But then, the question must be asked, who said our ways and expectations are correct and the ONLY WAY TO THINK AND ACT!
Clearly, our choices may not be the best solution in each situation.
Therefore, we must learn to wait on the Lord God and also on others to experience the desired outcome.

Do You Always.....? (4 of 5)
We are also commanded to "Make allowance for each other's faults".
This does not mean that we are to be blind to, overlook or approve harmful signs and practices.
But as quickly as we are to write others off and choose not to love and forgive them; we must be quicker to try to understand why
they might have done or said what they did.
Their response might have been from a misunderstanding, lack of knowledge or immaturity.
Their negative actions might not be in response to anything we did, but could originate from within their own emotional struggles.
But even in making allowance for other's actions, it must be remembered that people have the right of choice as to whom
they allow in their inner circles to influence and affect their lives.
The Apostle exhorts the Christian to count it all joy, even of the greatest joy; not that these afflictions were joyous in themselves,
but within their circumstances and consequences; as we are tried, exercised and worked for our good; spiritually and eternally
produced by them is the peaceable fruit of righteousness."
"Be not therefore terrified by your enemies; they can do nothing to you which God will not turn to your eternal advantage." (Clark)

Do You Always.....? (5 of 5)
In order to fulfill this Scriptural command, "Because of your love", we must have and illustrate agape love which motivated
Jesus to experience the horror of the cross for the very people who placed Him on it and even for us today who
disobey His "Always" Commands.
Agape love is not displayed toward others because they "deserve" it, but out of our desire to please the Lord.
Other "Always Scriptures" are
Deuteronomy 10:13- And you must always obey the LORD's commands and decrees for your own good.
Proverbs18:15-Intelligent people are always ready to learn.
23:17- Don't envy sinners, but always continue to fear the LORD.
Isaiah 26:4- Trust in the LORD always.
Romans 12:13- When God's people are in need; be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.
2 Corinthians 9:11- Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
Galatians 6:7- You will always harvest what you plant. 1 Thessalonians 5:16- Always be joyful.

Good morning Dr. Lewis: Just wanted to wish you a fantastic and lovely holiday. Thank you for all your wonderful messages throughout the year. I do read them and appreciate your spiritual guidance and support. This has been another year of challenge of family issues. You have been ministering to me, unknowingly of these challenges. You always say to take our burdens to Daddy God. Well, I've been doing just that. The pain still hurts but it is not here to stay. I am grateful to have met you. You are such an inspiration in this world and to me. I love you so much. I will continue to read your messages because God has placed you in my path for a divine reason. Lots of hugs to you, JG
Thank you Tonya, This is just what I needed to hear. God "WILL" handle them.I don't have to do a thing. Praise God.See you Sunday. Evangelist P C
