Greetings!
Would You be Selected? (1 of 5)
Acts 6:3-NLT- And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom.
We will give them this responsibility.
In other words, seek out men (or women) who have already demonstrated such character-not ones who make empty promises to
now establish themselves as these kinds of people.
One of the men chosen and noted with such character was Stephen (Acts 6:5).

Even though the other men mentioned were honorable, Stephen was the only man listed in this verse whose special notation
was made of his character.
He was a man well-known for his faith in Christ and his faithfulness to Him, for his courage and boldness in the cause of Christ.
"Would You Be Selected" because of what is known of your current character?
As a result of actions that you are CURRENTLY CHOOSING, how would you rate on the evaluation scale?
Yes, we all have been labeled by what we have done, but if our present actions are positive and different from our past negative actions,
then they will weigh positively in our favor.

1st Corinthians 6:9- NLT- Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves.
Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,
V10- or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people-none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
However each of us should have the testimony of v. 11- Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy;
you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Each OF US if possible would erase many wrong decisions from our past, but we are unable to do that now.
Although it is better to not attempt to right a wrong choice, word spoken or deed done in our past, while we yet have breath in
our bodies, each of us has been given a new chance to establish a new page, chapter or even book of what will now describe our lives.

The new description of us possibly won't be as it would have been prior to us tarnishing our reputations, but at least we can
enhance what is now known of us.
So yes, let's learn from the wrong decisions and actions of the past, but don't dwell on them.
IF WE DON'T CURRENTLY HAVE THE REPORT WHICH STEPHEN HAD OF HIS LIFE, SEEK NOW TO BEGIN REWRITING THE DESCRIPTION OF YOUR REPUTATION.
Other people may attempt to keep us enslaved with our past, but when our past no longer describes our present,
it will have to be recognized, honored and broadcast.

This is so very true and we do get it twisted sometimes and think that the Lord owes us something!!! Wrong!!! We owe Him BIG TIME!!! I am so glad that He loves me with an unfailing love. No one else can do that. Real good Word for the day!!!! Love you L V
