The Free State Foundation held its Eighth Annual Telecom Policy Conference on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. This annual conference is one of the nation's premier communications law and policy events. An outstanding line-up of leading senior officials and prominent experts from government, industry, academia, and think tanks discussed and debated the most important communications and Internet issues of the day, including broadband policy, the Open Internet Order appeal, privacy regulation, video competition, wireless regulation, spectrum policy, municipal broadband preemption, Universal Service and Lifeline Reform, and more.
The overall theme of this year's conference is "The FCC and the Rule of Law."
